  1. I am a slow loser.HW was 292 SW was 259 on 2/2/15 and today I am 222. 37 lbs down from surgery and 70 from when I started this process. I went from a size 26 pants to a size 20 and 4xl shirt to a XL.
  2. I had surgery on February 2nd and lost 21 pounds in the first 2 weeks which is amazing however since then my scale has not moved at all. It keeps stable between 238 & 239. I know that a stall is normal but it is driving me crazy and making me regret the surgery. I know the scale plays mind games so I only weigh myself once a week. Any advice how to deal with a stall emotionally?

My NUT wants us to get from food only and not Protein drinks but how? I have a call out to her but in the mean time I would love some suggestions from others. Thank you!

    February sleevers

I was sleeved on Feb 2nd. I am doing ok and on soft foods but struggling to get anywhere close to 60g of protein in each day. I was in the hospital on Thursday due to inflammation of the lungs and all my levels were good. So my water intake has been good. I am so scared to eat more than a few bites. I hope it gets better. Oh, and it takes me 90 minutes to get a protein shake down.

    February 2nd anyone?

I am scheduled for Feb 2nd. I am on a low carb high protein diet. I have 2-3 shakes a day and 1 meal of 3oz of protein and a 1/2 cup of veggies. The first week was really hard but this week has been a little better. Good luck to everyone!
  14. How do you do it? I am so hungry that I feel sick to my stomach. I am not sure I can do another 9 days. Any advice?

    Bariatric advantage

My doctor requires them too and I cant stand them. I add some ice and PB2 or frozen strawberries. I am done with 1 week with one to go. They are really thick. Good luck!
  17. I am freaking out a little at the moment the hospital called today with the date Feb 2nd and it is a little over 2 weeks away. I have worked hard to get the approval and lose the required weight but I didnt think it would move this fast. I'm excited but scared at the same time. I start my liquid diet on Monday which I think is going to make it a tough 2 weeks but it will be worth it in the end right?

  20. I am stressed about making weight on 1/6 for my final weigh in

  21. I started this journey back in August and drastrically changed my diet and over the last month my hair has been falling out like crazy. My doctor said I could be losing my hair because of the drastic changes however he sees most people have this after surgery. Anyone else have this happen? Does it ever slow down? I was already pretty thin. Thanks!
  22. I have completed my supervised 3 month period with my doctor but have not reached the required weight loss for my surgeon so I had another weigh in today. They are pushing it out another month over 3 pounds. I have been on a stall for a month now and I am so frustrated. My Dr. recommended increasing my calories to 1500 instead of 1200 to see if the that gives me a boost. I have been drinking 2 Protein shakes a day and told me I should stop those for a while too. Can you provide some ideas of what you ate that was high in protein and low carb before surgery? Thank you!

    Quest Bars?

You are not the only one. I tried almost all the flavors and had to choke them down. I have tried putting them in the microwave and that didn't help. I felt they tasted very chemically but thats my opinion.
  24. Last week I had completed my pre surgery requirements for my insurance company and was told by my surgeon's office that they would be submitting for approval. However this morning I received a call from them that they have decided not to submit and will not until end of November. My surgeon feels that I have not lost enough weight and wants me to attend another NUT group appointment and lose 8 pounds. I had been working out 5-6 times a week and eating 1200-1400 calories and losing weight fast however 2 weeks ago by foot starting hurting horribly so I went to the doctor and found out that I have a stress fracture and will be in boot for 4-5 weeks. Since then I have been doing upper body weights but I am not losing any weight. My surgeon said that I need to lose 8 pounds by November 13th so that we can get everything set up for beginning of December but if not it will be pushed out until January because he takes the last 2 weeks of December off. I am an commercial insurance agent and can not afford to take time off in January. I am not giving up but just feeling a little defeated today. Any suggestions on what exercises I can do to help? Do I need to change my calories? Thanks for listening!
