Why is having surgery in Mexico such a taboo subject?
Another reason local MD's are hesitant to follow up with cases done in Mexico has to do with payment. If you have been denied by your insurance company and choose to pay for surgery out of pocket, in or out of country, then you are responsible for all follow up care. Most insurance companies do not pay for procedures/follow up related to a denied or non covered service. That also means that any complications you may have are on you to pay for. Doctors have enough trouble getting payments from claims and do not want to have to deal with patients.

Anyone in north carolina
I was sleeved by Dr. Portenier from Duke Metabolic Weight Loss Center. Was SO impressed by him and everyone in their office. I researched them well prior to going with them and their results were good with low complication rate.

Newbie looking for Oct sleevers!
Hey guys, I was sleeved on the 20th. Been checking the site but haven't been posting much. Drum roll. . . I am in Onederland! I actually hit 199.1 this morning. I haven't seen that number in a really long time. Today is also the day the poop returned, yeah me. I am still having itching around my glue sites but they all look good. Still have various bruises and ouch is from needle sticks. I am still taking my dilaudid and liquid Tylenol for pain and well controlled. Still on full liquids and seem to tolerate premier Protein best. I tried making some of my previous protein concoctions but they seemed very frothy and gave me more gas. I go back to see the Nut on 11/4 for diet advancement. Hope all my fellow BariPals are doing ok, and with that, I think I am all caught up now. Kya
