    Saskatchewan RNY?

Awe that sucks! Hopefully the plan you are on now will help with the weight loss and you will be able to get the surgery. I guess it is just a waiting game.

    Saskatchewan RNY?

I started last Nov. and completed the 6 months. I know it sounds crazy but I loved it! I enjoyed meeting with nutritionist/exercise therapist/psychologist. I am now on the wait list. I was called to go on Sept. 8th for surgery but had to decline the date due to work. I am hoping to go in Oct./Nov. How are you finding the program?

My very long story...August 1st surgery!

Becky...happy to hear you are doing so much here! Loved reading about your experience. I am still waiting for RNY but am on this forum to hear what REAL people experience..not just what the textbooks say...if that makes sense!?! You referred to a drain and a pain ball that had to cone out. Do you mind explaining more? If it is not something you are comfortable with...no worries! Keep up the posts...keeps me hopeful for the change I want!

    Fitness tracker opinions

Love my Fitbit!! I have the Flex. It tells me time, steps, calories burned, flights of stairs and active minutes. Syncs to my phone and each week I get a report on total distance, flights of stairs etc. it also monitors sleep patterns. It was recalled as the strap gave people a rash. I kept mine with no issues. Good luck!

Fall down 7 times. Stand up 8!

Loved reading about your journey!!! I am still waiting for a surgery date but have found great comfort/peace of mind in reading your posts. I started at 274. Have lost 32 and have main yes that for 3 months. I stumbled upon this app for my phone and am addicted! I come here to read about everyone's journey when I am tempted to fall back into old eating habits. Thank you for sharing!
  12. Just wondering if people kept their surgery to themselves or told everyone? Just wondering how people handle it?

How do you shop for a rapidly changing weight?

Thank you all for sharing! I live in Canada and have been shopping our local thrift store for gently used brand name clothes. I have a small collection of clothes that I am dreaming of wearing. A size 15/16 Calvin Klein jeans now hang in my closet. I am praying that they fit...one day!
  14. I am currently waiting to have surgery and started this journey at 273 pounds. I have lost 32 on my own and am currently at 241. I am wondering if people who have lost the weight have lost all over? I know it will be specific for every body type but I am so curious to see what it could be like for me! Anyone out they'd start around 275 and have before/after pictures to share? If not...no worries!
