    Missing Lesbian

Oh my! I am sorry!! :nervous I am doing fine. After getting my unfill, I kinda fell out of the loop. I got a little depressed and didn't feel alot like socializing... YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU GUYS !!! I have gotten my fill, a little less than before the slip. I am doing good, but I think I need a tiny bit more in there! I have to wait 3 more weeks for that. But so far it seems that my band is behaving and found it's way back (thank goodness!). I am sorry for worrying you all and I promise I will do better!! Who woulda ever thunk I'd been the topic of a "missing Lesbian" thread?? LOL
  4. Don't worry, welcome to BandLand Boot Camp. The learning process is difficult at first. I still can't believe that I can't eat bread. Even now, being unfilled. I am always tempted to take that one tiny bite that I know is a one way ticket to the pb express. It's hard, and it sucks.. but you gotta do it. Learn what works for you.. for me apples and grapes are my main staples anymore. I love them. But it used to be ice cream and butterfingers. As far as the meeting.. don't even let those people affect your mood. They just being indifferent because the are all "rewired" and "dumping" and bitter You made the right choice, don't doubt that.. just be patient and listen to your body, you'll do great!!

    Update... Worst week ever. (Long)

It really makes a difference having the knowledge and support this site provides. Being the closet bandster I am, no one would ever believe how HUGE my support circle is here at LBT. I am very thankful.

    Update... Worst week ever. (Long)

Thank you all for your care and support, It means so much to me. I am feeling so much better now, Thank God!! To answer a few questions... *The reason I didn't go to the emergency room is because... one, I know that they wouldn't have the correct needle to unfill me with. If they used the wrong needle on me, it could cause me to have a port leak. I was holding out as long as I could to avoid the risk of damaging my port. I would've went when I reached my breaking point, which wasn't too far away. Two, I was afraid that when they saw how dehydrated I was that they would want to remove my band, which obviously is way worse than the first option. * My Dr. Martin is a WL Surgeon, specializing in LapBand but also does other WLS. * And Lisa, sometimes calling a Paralegal/Sex Goddess is the next best thing when you can't find a DR. Thanks again everyone.. you guys are PRICELESS!!
  10. Well, here is an update . My Band was slipped. It all started last Sunday, the 23rd. We went out to dinner to Celebrate my birthday at The Cheesecake Factory. My first time ever going there and I was very excited. Well, barely into the appetizer I got stuck. I went to the bathroom and PB'd. After several trips, I realized that I couldn't seem to get "unstuck". Later that night, I was throwing up clear Fluid with the stomach acid taste that doesn't usually come with a pb. The next day I woke up able to take in some liquids. I stayed on liquids until Tuesday night. Once again we went out to eat ( we eat out often, obviously) I got stuck on the first bite of salad. I NEVER get stuck on salad. Needless to say, I boxed everything up to go home and add to the styrofoam collection already in the fridge. I didn't eat until the following night I was able to keep down a tiny amount of leftover mushy salad. I know it sounds gross, but keep in mind I hadn't eaten anything since Sunday Afternoon. When I woke up on Thursday I stayed with liquids. I kept liquids til Saturday evening. I had dinner plans with friends and I felt my "swelling" had gone down. WRONGO! From that moment on I was unable to keep anything at all down, including Water and my own saliva. Everytime I swallowed my own spit my stomach would cramp up so bad, like a contraction. I was throwing up every 20 minutes or so.. and at night waking up every hour to vomit acid and saliva. This continued on through Monday afternoon when I finally found someone in my area to see me. Nobody wants to touch a Mexico patient with a ten foot pole around here. So finally, I got a local Doctor to see me, I think my outright bawling on the phone convinced them. ( Look, after almost 4 days without even a drop of water and in constant pain.. well it makes you weak mentally.) I saw Dr. Martin later Monday afternoon, she was a sight for sore eyes. I wanted to just cry when I saw her because I knew she could help me. She was awesome, she was so nice and didn't treat me like sh*t because I was banded in Mx. She unfilled my band and had me drink water and wait to make sure I kept it down, and I did. She thinks that the unfill will fix the bands placement, and I go back in a month for an upper GI and from there we will see if I get a fill, or if I need something fixed. She treated me like I was her patient, and now I am. She asked me if I wanted her to take me on as a permanent patient. I agreed instantly. She also told me that if the unfill didn't help that she was going to admit me, because I was visibly very dehydrated. Anyways, I am doing better, on liquids and fill-less. I still have a great amount of restriction due to the swelling. I am not really worried about not being filled right now. This week was so bad that I am almost relieved to have a break. But the good news is.. I am down to 208!! Now the plan is to maintain until my next fill. That will be a challenge I'm sure.

I think my band has slipped!

I hope you are right Alex. I am doing liquids right now.. especially since it's about all that has a chance of staying down. I guess I will just be patient and gentle and hope for the best.

I think my band has slipped!

I had some pasta and chicken.. and not much of it before I had to throw in the towel. I don't think it could stillbe stuck because I was able to eat a little bit of salad Wednesday night and most of that stayed down.
  13. Hey everyone. I really think my band has slipped, I don't know for sure. I am not having any pain, but I am getting stuck on everything. I am even barely able to keep liquids down. I know I am taking in some liquids, because I am still peeing. I started noticing something was up on Sunday, when we went out for my birthday. I pbed at dinner and didn't seem to be able to get unstuck. Ever since then I haven't been able to keep hardly anything down. I am in touch with my Dr. and waiting for him to figure out if I am slipped or not. In the meantime, can anyone tell me what symptoms I should have if I am slipped?
