  1. I'm doing really well, same like you hard to always get the protein in and honestly... Hungry for real food, lol
  2. I love mine, and I am picky as can be. My doctor wanted me drinking the ones from his office but they were nasty. I was lucky because I actually see the ones I drink and knew they were great having tested them before. They are called Vemma BODE shakes and were designed by Chris Powell and his wife Heidi of The "Extreme Makeover weight loss edition" exclusively for our company...There is a vanilla and chocolate and they are delicious. I also add banana extract or mint extract or sometimes sugar free pudding to them:)
  3. My Doctor is much more strict, was on full liquid 2 weeks before surgery. Then clear liquid from surgery to week check up. Full liquid again for another 2 weeks then progressing. No normal eating until almost 8 weeks after surgery...

Gallbladder out at the same time?

I had both surgeries on Sept. 8th 2014 at the same time. My doctor initially said he would not take out the gall bladder as he was doing a lap band to sleeve conversion and would already be busy in there. He said when they do the Gastric Bypass they automatically take out the gall bladder. Since I wanted the sleeve I thought it was a no go even though the pre-op tests showed I already had gallstones going on. Once he got in there though, I guess my gall bladder looked rough so he did the whole she bang, all at once. After reading these posts...I am soooo thankful he did!
  5. Oh sweetie, I was sooooooo sick day 2 into day 3 and totally nauseous from the anesthesia! I was MISERABLE and thinking "Why did I do this"? Could barely keep water down. Honest to God it got waaayyyyy better once the sickness passed and I quit throwing up...I was afraid I was going to literally bust my stitches. I had gall bladder out at the same time and never had general anesthesia and was NOT prepared. Was in hospital 5 days so they could keep me on fluids as I could not keep anything down. It gets better....Promise.

How much weight did you lose preop?

My doctors office puts you on a 2 week protein shakes and full liquid diet only just to reduce liver. His nurse told me in that time people lose anywhere from 7 to 20 pounds... Never did they say you had to lose a specific amount prior to surgery date but did say if Liver was not reduced he may not do surgery.
