Fruit problems?
I'm 4 months out. Fruit has been on my NUT plan after 3 months.

Fruit problems?
Yeah I buy the cuties the tiny oranges or tangerines whatever it is and I thought they'd be perfectly sized but I can't do it anymore. I'm not a fan of apple slices I'd rather eat an apples but like I said I've been noticing more things to add to my can't have list which sucks because I love fruit because it fulfills my sweet tooth.

Fruit problems?
Maybe it's me but I'm having issues with fruits. Oranges I can't eat or my stomach kills me! I literally just ate an apple and bam I went straight to the bathroom. Bananas fill me up for a long time but leave me feeling uncomfortable also. Grapes taste weird to me now and Pre op they were my all time go to fruit. Anyone else?!

October 30 2014 where are you?
I just want to know how you're doing 4 months out! Hw?cw?gw? What do you do now that you couldn't before? NSV? Have you set any dates to reach goals? Do you have any events your looking forward to? How are you doing on your new lifestyle("diets") But more importantly how do you feel? Just want to know how your doing=) 4 months out I feel great. I'm struggling through some hardcore hair loss but my hair seems to be up 24/7 now so I try to ignore it. HW259 CW201 GW1 160 GW2 140 I now can cross my legs! Lol My NSV is I fit in a size 14 jeans. Pre op the only jeans I had were a size 18 and those were getting tight so I lived in leggings I was to try to be by goal 1 by june. Because I decided to become a zumba instructor and my certification is June 5 (3 days after my birthday!!!) My diet is a constint struggle. I work at a bakery which has caused me to rethink my career choice and focuse on myself. But it's hard now. I feel great. It's crazy to think I use to carry so much excess weight before no wonder I was miserable.

Weight loss taught me...
It's hard for me to believe I thought I was fine at 260lbs. I would trick myself to accept that I was a big girl and that I just needed to love myself. That only worked for about an hour. I was so unhappy now although I lost almost 60lbs I feel happier but my mind still plays tricks on me. I also look back at pictures and just sit in shock! I was watching a family friend who is really heavy eat the other day and just thought wow that looks really ugly(over eating) I hope nobody thinks I'm fat shaming I'm just saying when it's you, you never think of it looking bad but when you see it your just shocked.

Weight loss taught me...
I was also a sugar addict. I'm honestly still battling it everyday. I also feel like sugar was my drug. Food in general but my sweet tooth was the main reason I think I was getting bigger. I'm thinking about therapy but (maybe I'm in denial) I don't think I'm struggling too bad. And the brain just needs to be retrained.

Weight loss taught me...
As I loose weight I've learned that it's not as easy as I thought it'd be. I knew it'd be hard but not the way I thought. I just thought eating right would be a challenge but I've learned that the mind is an awful thing. I know I'm loosing but my mind is playing tricks on me. So I want to know what has loosing taught you?

Bloating?
About 55lbs. I was at 58lbs lost but I'm gaining muscle. How's your journey?
-
Bloating?
If I recall it did go away. I wasn't constipated. I guess I was just bloated because now I just feel great again (I'm 4 months post op now)

Help always hungry!
Some days I do the same except I can't do yogurt it kills my sleeve. I try not to eat like this because I feel like it's not the right thing to do but I guess starving isn't one either.
-
Help always hungry!
Yeah I think I can easily fill 12oz in my belly of Protein shakes which sometimes I could do more. And then I'd be hungry. I feel like I snack to much. I mean nothing bad but I don't think I should be eating as much. It sucks because everyone's different and one way isn't the right way.

Help always hungry!
Me too. I'm not saying I'm eating 2 oz of each I take a bite here of everything. I don't stick to one. My NUT wants me to have variety but from what everyone's saying I think I need to cut off the starch and carbs so once this round of prep is over the next round no starch just meat and veggies.
-
Help always hungry!
I'm going to try this for now on! And I would forget to use the plate haha but I def get the idea thank you! Ugh I need to explain to carbs/starch that were over
-
Help always hungry!
Yeah its just confusing with what is the acceptable balanced plate for bariatric people and non. I'm just getting overwhelmed with what is better and what's not. I'm starting to think just eating a whole steak for dinner with no sides. So hard!

Help always hungry!
Thanks for taking the time to answer!carbs are my weakness. I just never know what to eat in the morning that doesn't involve bread. And I was always taught starch veggie protein so that's why I chose the potato. It's so hard to get out of old habbits! I just need to prep better. I should stress I work at a bakery so I'm not always on my best behavior which sucks.

Help always hungry!
I'm 4 months post op (almost) and I'm down probably 52lbs . Lately I'm just always hungry I don't get why here's a typical day Work7am In the am i do an egg with ham and cheese on a slice of toast. I probably eat half of it. Throughout work I drink at least 30oz of Water with is mixed with my Protein so I kill two birds with one stone. I eat lunch around 12 Today I made a quinoa bowl with Beans corn and steak also some salsa. I then eat a Quest bar around 1 Still drinking water Today I ate dinner at 5 Baked potato asparagus and salmon I did Zumba from 7-8 straight after I drank my Protein shake about 12oz Now 10pm I'm hungry I tried to just drunk the hunger but my stomach was telling me no. So now I'm eating what I had for lunch (i meal prep) Am i hungry because I start my day early and sleep late or am I doing something wrong Help! Also I went from 201 2 weeks ago to now 207. I don't look like I gained weight (so I've been told) so I assume it's muscle because I weight train a lot. So I'm getting discouraged!

Weight watchers?
I know the sleeve surgery for many was a last resort because none of the other diets worked. Now I did weight watchers 4 years ago and I did good for 2 weeks and basically was over it. I follow a lot of weight loss surgery (mainly gastric sleeve) instagram pages and I know one person does weight watchers. Have any of you done/are doing weight watchers post op? Is it working well? Just curious=)
-
Baking mistake! Aaahhh
I work at a bakery so I'm constintly bad at least once or twice a day.
-
What irritates your sleeve?
I'm almost 4 months and I can't tolerate yogurt, milk, oranges, and really anything BAD. I was already lactose intolerant Pre op and now post op I'm worse.
-
Just curious...
I did at 2.5 months out but that was because I didn't chew shrimp properly and I say that because it was 2 whole shrimp that I threw up. After that I've been fine. I guess it depends on your stomachs tolerance

Keeping weight loss surgery a secret
A few handful of people know. Every one else doesn't need to know about my life if they figure it out that's cool. I'm the one who had to live with the weight so who gives a dam if people know. You keep to yourself!

How did you determine your "goal weight"?
My doctor told me between 160-175 for a healthy BMI but if I want to go lower (which I do) he said to do it with exercise and not diet a lone because I will look sick. Hope that makes sense
