  1. I agree with babs. Why go just to feel uncomfortable? If that's the way they want to treat eachother then screw them. You did what you and DH wanted to do and they should respect that. My DH and I stay away from drama. It's not worth it.
  2. I don't believe in chiropractors.
  3. Good for you Yettia. Don't allow him to discourage you! You are doing this for you. Good luck!
  4. I also have to drink something warm or hot before a meal. It really works. Try it. If you are still having a hard time, call your dr. Good Luck!
  5. Don't give up...get MAD. How dare they state you didn't diet enough or excercise enough. Appeal!!! Good Luck!
  6. Take it easy on the treadmill. I too walked on the treadmill, but only 1-2 minutes a day (if that) until I felt the gas going away. If you feel the pain is not from the port healing, call your dr. It's better to be safe that sorry. Good Luck!!
  7. WEll, hang in there. We have all one time or another had the PBing experience. Good Luck!!
  8. My mom had a severe case that lasted about 6 wks. When I spoke to the Dr, he said that those who have had the chicken pox can get shingles. He also said that they occur when your immune system is weak or has been compromised (whatever that means). One thing I found on the internet is that once you turn 60 there is an injection that you can ask for to prevent them from ever having an episode. Hope you feel better soon!
  9. Congratulations!!!Good Luck!!!
  10. Welcome to the forum. I don't have any answers for you, but try googling-"lapband surgery costs in Asia" and see where it takes you. Good Luck on your lapband journey.
  11. When you go to the dr, have them check your gallbladder.
  12. If your primary Dr cannot support the effort and life changing decision that you want to make, then I say find another primary Dr. I know it will be difficult but you can do it and it will be so worth it. The sooner you do it the sooner you can get banded. Good Luck!
  13. I miss my boobies. I have started working out with arm weights and doing chest excercises. They are starting to shape up.
  14. Sounds good. I am going to make them for dinner tomorrow. Thanks
  15. Well..by me being a mexican, it has been real hard not to make tortillas, enchiladas, and all the other mexican dishes that I so much loved to eat and make. I found that by limiting and I mean limiting the portions I eat when it comes to that type of food, hasn't deprived me of eating them at all. I love to look at the healthy/stay fit magazines. They have wonderful recipes for all types of foods. All you do is omit what you know is not healthy and change it around a little. Try it!
  16. Jill, Go to the orientation and bring back information for your husband to read. That way you are both aware of the procedure. Remember, the band is a tool and not an instant weight loss gimmick. There will be changes you will have to make and all of them will be for you to get healthy. Good Luck!!
  17. Congradulations!
  18. It did feel uncomfortable the first few times, but then it gets better. My husband was patient and gentle. He didn't put any pressure on my port while on top. Try to go at it slowy, then work your way up to the point where you both were comfortable. Good Luck!!
  19. Brenny, Sorry to hear you are having a hard time. Give the band a chance. I know your Dr and his office staff sucks, but you can do this. I hope you get to feeling better real soon. You will be in my prayers. Good Luck!!
  20. Good Luck on your journey. Keep faith!
  21. I don't see the issue of being a muslim. They have gotten enough of a bad wrap due the president we have now. Please...get the facts!!!
  22. Please ask your Dr first. I stopped taking my BP pills right after my surgery because I felt I didn't need them anymore. Well, even thought I am losing the weight, I started having headaches and have had trouble staying asleep thru the night. Went to the Dr on 06/02 and was told that I need to get back on the BP med. The Dr told me that for some people they need to be on BP meds for life and for me never to make that decision on my own again. Be careful!! Talk to your doc. Good Luck!!!
  23. Way to go Canagirl!
  24. May God also bless the families in Iraq for their losses.
