  1. Labmom, This has also happened to me. Just this past Wednesday I had to have .5cc taken out. My last fill was Oct '08 and all of a sudden in Feb I started noticing that I was getting tighter and tighter until I had to see the Dr. He checked the band and yes it was tight. When I asked why, all he could say was that it happens and there's no real reason why. I will continue with the same of amount of portions until after Ramadan this year, and then I'll go back for a fill in late September.
  2. I would get on the treadmill and walk for about 1 minute. Then increased my time as I started to feel I could go longer. Good Luck!
  3. She can kiss my LapBand butt!!
  4. Every Friday I get a Starbucks double-shot on ice with a shot of energy.
  5. Babe, Hang in there. Once you get the band the stress will ease up. I'll be thinking of you. God bless.
  6. I LOVE my treadmill. It has been there for me in cold days, hot days and especially the days after my surgery when I had gas pains. I hope it will last awhile. At least until I reach my goal or until my fat ass goes down a little more.
  7. Get them both reading and learning books.
  8. Screw them. They're just stupid and inmature. Good Luck on your lapband journey. You go girl.
  9. I watch it for entertainment. Plus I like the training tips.
  10. Good old disposable!!! It's bad enough to have to smell what came out and then have to wash it. Hell no!
  11. You are too tight. I went thru the same thing a couple of months ago. If you wait too long, it could slip. Good luck!
  12. Katiebugs, I'm sorry you have to go thru this. I'm even more sorry you had to speak to an idiot. The insurance reps need to understand that information on such procedures need to be accurate. I will have you in my thoughts and prayers. Don't give up! Hang in here.
  13. Keep your chin up! Don't give up. If this is what you really want to do, then do it. Don't let anything stand in your way. I'm sorry you had to do all that planning, and for what??? You are in my thoughts. Good Luck!!!
  14. So sorry. You are in my prayers. I hope you get to feeling better soon.
  15. I say go thru with the surgery. Screw them both. You need to start thinking about yourself and the kids. God Bless you. You are in my prayers. Congrats on the 5 lbs lost, but you need to try and be strong for the kids. Hang in there!!!
  16. Why not just call and find out instead of worrying and waiting?
  17. I am so sorry for your suffering. Is there anyway to see about counseling? Maybe that would help you. Any help is better than none. Stay focused...we're here for you. Remember, you had the lapband done for a reason...for YOU. I will have you in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless!!!
  18. Mikki Things will be ok. Ask your OB/GYN dr about excercises for pregnant women. You can do this. Be happy. Keep your chin up and congradulations!!!!
  19. Please call your Dr and find out. Let us know what happens. Good Luck!
  20. The weight will come off if you work at it. Hang in there.
  21. Good Luck to you Marthie66. Congradulations on your weight loss so far.
  22. Thank you Trish! I appreciate it!
  23. You can do this. Don't worry. When I feel like having a soda, I'll drink maybe a 1/4 cup to a cup maybe once a month if that. You will learn that it's better to drink water, tea, ect...than soda. Coffee, who said you couldn't have a cup of coffee?? I have a cup every morning with a tsp of fat-free milk and 1/2 packet of Splenda. Now as far as not drinking with your meals...there's a reason for that and you will learn it well. By drinking an hr before or after a meal, you will stay satisfied longer and that is what we all want. Good Luck on your lapband journey.
