Can I talk about SEX for a minute?

Recommended Posts

I hope no one finds this offensive. If so, my apologies in advance.

SO, the surgeon said at 6 weeks I was healed enough to return to normal SEX. I was very nervous because my port site is still a little tender now and then. My sweet husband was scared he'd hurt me.

I did feel stuff that was surgical. And was aware of the port etc.

Has anyone else had this happen? Is it normal to feel the band or port during SEX? This is the oddest post I've written.

I feel fine today, but it's wasn't my most comfortable moment. Will it get more comfortable to have weight on top of the stomach?

Anyone?

It did feel uncomfortable the first few times, but then it gets better. My husband was patient and gentle. He didn't put any pressure on my port while on top. Try to go at it slowy, then work your way up to the point where you both were comfortable.

Good Luck!!

I asked my doctor about sex 3 weeks after surgery. He said it was my abdomen that was operated on, nothing else, so why would I think sex is off limits. He said be sure the position does not put pressure on any "tender" areas.

#1 try some different positions rather than HIM on top

#2 My husbands hand glances over the port now and then, he forgets that its there. But he's not creeped out by it anymore. (Banded a year ago)

#3 You aren't feeling the BAND, its only the tubing or port that you may feel. The BAND is Deep within your abdominal cavity up near your rib cage and under your liver, so you couldn't feel it. Probably you are just too sensitive to it being there.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
