christina1979 got a reaction from mnmlst in 5 months out...
I had surgery 10/2014 so I'm not quite at 6 mths yet. I've lost 96 lbs which I am SUPER PROUD of so in no way is my question meant to negate that. I was just wondering though, at what point are you out of the rapid weight loss phase and really need to push? Even given the dramatic weight loss, I'm still 50 lbs from my recommended/goal weight but I've pretty much kinda plateaued the last few weeks and no matter what I do, it doesn't really budge.

In no way have I compared myself to others' weight losses or stalls. I am comparing my current weight loss with my previous attempts. Yes, I have been calorie-restricted before as surgery was not my first weight loss attempt but as I stated, I never stalled. I'm aware that everyone is different so I have no intention of comparing myself to Jill, Sarah, Bob, or Steve. I'm simply venting that I'm frustrated because I -as of right now- feel I was more successful dieting on my own. And after reading threads, it's a little comforting to know others are having the same issue thus letting me know I'm not broken or a failure. Thanks for the comment though. And good luck on your journey.

For some of us the weight loss is very slow-I stopped weighing myself daily as I would feel depressed and I now weigh myself weekly or when I notice that I am feeling slimmer.
I think when I remain the same that it was better than before when I would put on a pound and think well thats not bad!
Now remaining the same or losing a pound is wonderful.
If you stick to the plan you will loose weight

I feel the same way also. I have lost 1 pound in 1 week. Total 35. I am feeling discouraged and frustrated. Thanks for the comments. I do feel "slimmer" and people are noticing I "have lost a lot of weight". Persevere. We can do this!

christina1979 got a reaction from Summer Rain in OVER 300 lbs
315 at consult. Gorged on foods I'd miss so I was 320 when I started pre op. I dropped to 301 on surgery day which was 10/10. I was 294 this a.m., so down 7 lbs in about a week. A little annoyed at that. I know, I know-better than nothing/it'll get better. Still......

christina1979 got a reaction from krydmo in Stall at 1.5 weeks post-op-seriously?
I stalled at week one and I'm almost 4 wks post op and I'm losing sooooooo damn slowly, it's making me question this whole thing. I dropped weight faster on my own before I looked to surgery. ????

My surgery was the 10th and I stalled at about a week too. It finally moved a bit today but just a pound. I've been cleared for cardio so think I'm going to have to start doing more than just neighborhood walks.

I guess I'll get in trouble with you-yes, very irritating. Grant it, we don't know their circumstance and unless they're cash paying, something is allowing them to get approved my insurance, but still.....this was a last resort for me. I tried for YEARS trying to lose it and after every diet I gained more than I lost. Hopefully this is my long term option. -

christina1979 got a reaction from RavensAngel in Full sensation
I posted once before about feeling like I'm missing the full signal and I was told since I'm on liquids, I probably wouldn't feel it. My diet has since progressed to more solid foods and I was just wondering what signs people experience when they get the full signal. I'm terrified of over doing it. I just ate some canned chicken and aside from some constant gurgling up through my throat, I have nothing else to go off of. Opinions please.

christina1979 got a reaction from BeagleLover in 2 weeks post opt
Everyone keeps talking about this 2-4 week stall but I just started week 2 and I feel like I already started my stall at the end of week one. Is this common? I am so frustrated.....

christina1979 got a reaction from mgillard in October 2014
I have been looking at these threads daily for over a month and never made one single post until I knew my journey had its definite destination. I'm being sleeved 10/10 and I'm the only 2 emotions I feel alternate between excitement and nervousness ????
