  1. I think my brother's Ex is starting to see the errors of her way, and what she's doing to her daughter. Who needs a good pit bull lawyer when you have gradma on steroids. My mom will just show up at my niece's school or her mother's home, not to cause problems...but to bring her lunch, cards, etc. Mom is "All about the kids" & doesn't want her to feel like we've walked away from her even though the courts & her mom have let her down. Kat, I think it's SO important to never involve children in adult issues. Children are not blind to see someones character & intent, it's when they are adults - they get to choose who they want to spend time with, and it never works in the favor of the one parent who slanders the other.
  2. Ah Georgia Girl, chicken breast stuffed with creamed spinach and artichoke sounds insanly good right about now. today: b - 1/2c egg salad, 6 wheat thins l - shrimp cocktail (5) d - grilled chicken salad w/light vinegrette s - handful pecans
  3. Ah, Indeed so. By in large Republicans support the War on Terror, some Democrats view that as fiscal irresponsibility. Poor economy = Shrinkage of Investments = Wallet Weakened. I'm hopeful "whoever" becomes President, has the ability to remove ourselves from this War, and get can our Economy turned around.
  4. Happy Sunday Evening Ya'll Did Wk 4 in full today (first day), and I think I'll just carry that over one more week. It was tuff, but I think the new sports bra (not likely - but ha!@) helped. All the best for Wk5, Cheers~
  5. Thanks Mick - I've looked into the BodyBugg, but really didn't like how bulky it is and the price. I plan on ordering one of these!, appreciate the heads up!!
  6. today: b - 1/4c lean ground beef & 1/2c 2% borden high protein milk l - 1/3c pinto bean soup (last day of this..lol) d - 1/2c egg salad s - 1/2c edamame
  7. Heather, that is truly tragic. My heart goes out to your family!!
  8. I'm under the impression that a formula is used in most states as well - based on income. $50 is insane, I can't even feed my animals on that amt per month, Heather I'd advised your sister to continually petition the court to ask for more. Just because they were teenagers at the time, does not mean she can not receive more over the years as the father's income increases (unless he remains at the same level of income). My oldest brother has 4 kids with his ex, and raised her daughter before they met as his. Her biological father was not really in the picture - but didn't allow for an adoption to take place (ps - he paid no child support, but did have visitation once a yr, *he lived out of state*). Here's the kicker, my brother pays $1850 a month in child support, $950 in alimony - and because he is not the biological father he does NOT get any visitation rights to his oldest child. The fact that his ex even keeps her from visiting along with her other siblings, is beyond comprehension. How do you let 4 little kids go visit dad's family for Christmas, and let that poor girl stay at home - to me is criminal...but she will pay in the long run for those decisions.

  14. AWESOME Wombat....Very happy for you, Keep dancing:tongue:
  15. I just went up .5 to put me @ 7 in a 10cc band. I can't tell how BIG a difference things are. My surgeon thought I would need to go up to 8 to get to the sweet spot - but for now this is probably all I could stand. I'm barely able to eat a full 1/4c of food per meal & I need to be able to eat real food also, cause every protein shake makes me want to vomit - and I've tried them All (pantry is packed).
  16. I constantly read that .1 or .2 made such a difference and I could not get a grasp on that. I have the AP10cc band and just got my 4th fill .5cc put in to make it 7.cc total. HUGE difference, I'm struggling to get in at least 1/4c of food 3 times a day - and am finding it difficult. Guess this is what everyone has been talking about.
  17. Good 4 you Stranger!! I kept this wk doing the combo of wks 3/4. Haven't felt so hot, and my fill on Wed has kinda put me in my place. It's the first real restriction I've yet to have - and I felt a little weak this AM, not sure if its' the fill / lack of much to eat (can barely eat 1/4c of food per meal). Going to try wk 4 w/out "cheating" :rolleyes2: tomorrow w/out being a wuss, fingers crossed!!!
  18. I had a Burger (no bun) and could only eat half. Dipped in Ranch it was the BEST meal ever.
  19. GREAT points Grace! Be sure you know what your total package fee will include.
  20. Hi Bling, My husband and I went through the process together as well. He had a BMI of 41, with High Blood Pressure and Mild Sleep Apnea, My BMI was 37 with no comorbis. We went through a lot of hoops with our Ins *BCBSTX* Company for 5 months before we decided to go self pay. We were actually notified the same wk we scheduled our surgeries that insurance had declined us both. We researched our Dr a year before surgery, made sure we checked his stats / office / fill center etc, we felt and still do we made a good choice with our Surgeon. I personally find his after care very supportive, which I believe is very important. Don't get me wrong it was expensive $15k each and that $30k check was hard to write, but has turned out to be well worth it! Best of Luck to You and your Husband! Lulu
  21. I know not such a big one - but in getting my fill on Wed, the Tech had to get a smaller blood pressure wrap (not sure the name). The one in place was too big for my arms:)
