    Thanks guys for the replies! Now I'm able to drink water but it has to be freezing cold. My surgeon stated that it could last a week or even as long as a month so hopefully this shall pass soon.

    Does anyone have stomach cramping from drinking water. I had an RNY on July 30th & I drank water & other liquids just fine during my hospital stay now whenever I take a sip of almost anything I get awful stomach cramping for just a couple of seconds
