  1. Congratulations! I recently went shopping for the first time since my surgery and had the same experience. It's an awesome feeling isn't it?
  2. I was told at first to concentrate on getting my fluids in and that is difficult the first week or two. Protein is secondary so if you have to wait until tomorrow to try your protein then wait until tomorrow. It would be worse if you threw up. Good luck!
  3. I was using MyNetDiary long before surgery so I have continued using it. I can manually set my daily calories, carbs, and protein. It has a free version or an upgraded version.
  4. I have been a "slow loser" also but if you stick to the plan you can't help but lose weight. You are eating so few calories the weight has to come off. Don't get discouraged because it is going to happen! The first month or so I think our bodies are in shock and recovering from surgery. Have you measured? Do this monthly because sometimes it's inches and not pounds that we lose. Good luck! Summer
  5. I went through the same thing. Week 2 PO I had my very first stall. I think I lost less than 1 pound that week. Just keep doing what your suppose to do and it will come off. Congratulations on your surgery and keep working your plan. Summer
  6. What an awesome week you have had! Congratulations . The 18 month thing your counselor informed you of is very interesting. Thanks for sharing. A bikini! That's very inspiring Summer
  7. Great job! Keep up the good work Summer
  8. You look amazing! Great job Kim ????
  9. I got on the scale this morning and it read 199.0! I think it has been 18 years since I weighed below 200 lbs. I went shopping last week and I was able to buy XL tops and size 16 pants! That is down from 3X tops and 24 pants. I am so excited I can hardly stand it. I am 52 years old. I was sleeved on November 4, 2015 (15 weeks ago). My recovery from this surgery was very easy and I am thankful every day that I had this procedure done. I now LIKE leaving the house to go places and I hope to have a job interview in the next week or so (telephone interview last Friday). I even took a picture of me in my new interview clothes and sent it to my daughter and I would not be embarassed if she showed it to anyone else. That is a big deal as I have stayed out of pictures for YEARS. Two weeks ago I took my son to visit a college campus and I was able to walk the the whole tour! That was about 2 hours of walking around the campus and different buildings. 6 months ago I couldn't have done that. HW: 265 SW: 243 CW: 199 Good luck to those just starting this process. All you post-op people please keep posting your successes and NSVs - they are appreciated and encouraging to all of us. Summer
  10. Onederland refers to your weight being in the 100's....like 199 or lower
  11. I believe you have to have 100 posts or more.
  12. I wore the hospital gown and definitely no bra because one of my incisions was right on my bra line. Just think "comfy" for a week or so after surgery. Good luck! Summer
  13. Tuesday will be here before you know it! The preop diet will be over and you will begin your new life. It's amazing on the loser's side It's all worth it -- just remember that lol Good luck! Summer
  14. Congratulations! I hope your surgery went well and that you are in minimal pain, if any. It's a wonderful journey you are starting on. Lots of good people on this site with great advice and stories to share. Good luck! Summer

  17. You look great! Awesome job
  18. I had the same concerns about going below 35 BMI. I also had type 2 diabetes and I was told not to go below 35 or the insurance company could deny me. Good luck!
  19. No apology needed. I was just letting you know
  20. Yes, my surgeon recommends it for his patients. There are other threads on this subject if you do a search. Summer
