I went to the GYN today. She looked at MRI results and did an exam and took a couple of biopsies. She then told me that I have a prolapsed uterus and 2 large cysts in the area of my right ovary. She highly recommends surgery for removal of my right ovary and due to thickening and prolapse she will also do a hysterectomy. The cysts are so large that it will need to be done by laparotomy (open incision). She also ordered blood work for CA-125. Results should be back from everything by the beginning of next week and then we will schedule surgery.
Thank you all for your prayers and I hope you all are doing well with your weight loss.

Are all you people who are hungry on an acid blocker like Prilosec? Acid can mimic that hungry feeling. Just a thought. Congratulations on having your surgery and good luck to you all!

@@ejd1024 you are doing awesome! Sticking to the script right now is easy but I know it won't always be this way. Congratulations on your weight loss.

As mentioned above if you haven't talked to your surgeon about this you probably should. I can only speak from my experience but I did not have pain and trouble eating and drinking like that. The first week was difficult but after that I haven't had any issues. Good luck to you and I hope you feel better soon.

@@Faye325 Congratulations! I can't wait to be out of the 200's. Awesome job! You must be one of the lucky ones not to have much excess skin. Again, congratulations and good luck with your last 16 pounds.

@@mom2kandh I think we all have the same fears of failure. We all have tried many things before that did not work for us. I had my surgery 4 weeks ago today. I have fortunately not felt any hunger and after the first week I have been able to get all my fluids and Protein in. I am not having any trouble following my surgeon's diet at this point. I cook for my family and even though things smell good to me I have no desire to eat any of it. I hope this continues
Have faith in yourself and the procedure. It will work for you.
Good luck and I hope the next week flies by for you!

Hi everyone I hope all the post op people are doing well. I know I am happy to be on the post-op side now! I have had a very easy time of it since surgery on 11/04/14. I hope all of you that had surgery on the 4th or around there will post your experiences here also. It would be nice to have a list of people done on that day or close to it.
I am still on soft foods. I have another appointment with my surgeon's office on Friday and I hope they will let me start Stage 3 foods. I have stuck religiously to the foods on my allowed list. I have not really had any hunger. I love eating these small portions I get my Water, Protein and Vitamins in every day. I am no longer on meds for Type 2 Diabetes. Today after work I will take my one month pics and measurements. I have lost 16.8 pounds so far which I am happy with. Before surgery I never would have lost this much in a month (except the times I tried HCG but that weight always came back immediately after stopping the injections).
I asked my husband last night if he thought the local pizza Hut was going bankrupt yet as we had not ordered from them in over 5 weeks. He just laughed at me lol
How are the rest of you doing?

Hello everyone. I hope you all are doing well. I had surgery 11/4/14 and I had no problems with my sleeve surgery. Everything has been going great and I feel really good.
Did anyone else have other medical problems uncovered due to this surgery? My surgeon told my husband after my surgery that he saw a "very large cyst in the area of my right ovary and that I should get it checked out." I got through my first week pre-op and the second week I had an appointment with my PCP. She ordered an ultrasound which showed a large 10 cm cystic lesion on/around my right ovary. They could not even see the ovary due to the cyst being so large. The following week I had an MRI which showed 2 large cysts in the adnexal/upper pelvic area. The largest cyst has a smaller cyst within it. I had an appointment with a new GYN the middle of December (my old GYN had a baby and decided to be a stay at home mom). I called them after my MRI and they moved my appointment up to this Thursday. I am very nervous as the NP that called with my test results would give me very little information. She just said that the GYN would talk to me about everything but that I would require surgery due to the size of the cysts. I asked about the chances of them being cancerous and she said again that the GYN would discuss all of this with me. Now I am nervous and am going to have to go through more surgery. I just hope it can be done this month as my deductible has been met.
Any words of encouragement would be appreciated or if anyone else wants to share their experiences... Thank you for listening (reading).

I am not from your area and I don't know your surgeon -- I just want to say Welcome! I hope you get the information you are seeking. I did not have to have a gastric emptying study. Good luck!

I had VSG done 11/4/14 and I hardly had any pain at all, maybe a 2/10 on the pain scale. I hope you have the same experience

@@athena3127 congratulations on your ".000555555556 lbs per min" loss!!! That actually made me smile that you figured that out lol I am sorry you are still dealing with nausea. Are you taking any anti-nausea meds? I sometimes get a slightly upset stomach after my Protein shakes - I wonder if I could be slightly lactose intolerant since surgery....IDK. I just keep doing what they tell me and trying my best every day. I am so happy to be doing this. I had my second check up this morning and things are going so well. I hope things get back to normal for you soon.
I hope we can all keep in touch!
