  1. That first week it is hard to get all your Water and Protein in. All you can do is do the best you can. It gets sooo much easier the second week out. It felt so overwhelming at first thinking about getting 64 oz of liquids daily. I found it a little easier to drink watered down crystal light. Just remember that it does get better. I am almost 4 weeks out and I feel incredibly good and get all my requirements in with no problem. Good luck you can do this!

  2. What you are going through is so common, it has a name. The Dreaded 3 Week Stall. Totally normal, and happens to 99% of us. There are literally hundreds of threads in these forums about it. Fear not! It may last a week or 2, but if you keep doing what you are doing, you will start losing again as soon as it's over! Ms Mac says it best..."Stalls are like lovers. Your first won't be your last". Lol.

Ms Mac is one savvy lady! :)

  3. I am 12 days post-op and I have not lost anything in the past five days. I also had a lower BMI and I am in my early 50's. I am doing everything by the book and had expected a stall sooner or later (was hoping for later tbh lol). We just have to trust that the process is working and keep on keeping on. Let's hope it ends soon :)

  4. I told my husband and my adult children.

Since my surgery 11 days ago I have had two healthcare professionals (I use the term "professional" loosely) have made derogatory comments about me having had Bariatric surgery. These are people in the medical field that should be better informed or should know to keep their opinions to themselves since they are not doctors. So, with these experiences I can't imagine telling my family or others. I think it is an extremely personal decision and every person has to do what's best for them with no judgement from the rest of us.
