What an inspiration

That first week it is hard to get all your Water and Protein in. All you can do is do the best you can. It gets sooo much easier the second week out. It felt so overwhelming at first thinking about getting 64 oz of liquids daily. I found it a little easier to drink watered down crystal light. Just remember that it does get better. I am almost 4 weeks out and I feel incredibly good and get all my requirements in with no problem. Good luck you can do this!

Congratulations on being so close to onederland! That is great news about your dad not having cancer. You do have a lot to be thankful for as most of us do. Good luck with your poodles this weekend! Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

@BigGirlPanties (good night, John Boy...LOL) Your comment here made me smile but I ended up disliking that show because my mom would always say "why can't you kids get along like those Walton kids?" There are 5 of us and we got along like NORMAL siblings lol. Thanks for the smile

Mindful eating - not eating while watching tv, reading, using the computer - is suppose to help us not overeat. If you measure everything that goes on your plate and eat slowly you really should have no problem IMO.

Slowing down is a hard habit to break but we have our trusty sleeves now to help remind us

Good luck to you! I hope you get the results you wanted now.

My surgeon said no gum for 6 months after surgery.
Just be careful not to swallow it.

Thank you for sharing. You look like you feel awesome and so happy.

Upper left hand corner are 3 white bars on Timeline screen. Touch them. About two thirds of the way down you will see private message

What you are going through is so common, it has a name. The Dreaded 3 Week Stall. Totally normal, and happens to 99% of us. There are literally hundreds of threads in these forums about it. Fear not! It may last a week or 2, but if you keep doing what you are doing, you will start losing again as soon as it's over! Ms Mac says it best..."Stalls are like lovers. Your first won't be your last". Lol.
Ms Mac is one savvy lady!

I am 12 days post-op and I have not lost anything in the past five days. I also had a lower BMI and I am in my early 50's. I am doing everything by the book and had expected a stall sooner or later (was hoping for later tbh lol). We just have to trust that the process is working and keep on keeping on. Let's hope it ends soon

I had both done and had little pain or discomfort. I took two weeks off but I think I would have been fine with only one week. Good luck to you!

I am only 11 days postop so I weigh myself every day because it is new and exciting to see those numbers going down! I only record it weekly though.

I told my husband and my adult children.
Since my surgery 11 days ago I have had two healthcare professionals (I use the term "professional" loosely) have made derogatory comments about me having had Bariatric surgery. These are people in the medical field that should be better informed or should know to keep their opinions to themselves since they are not doctors. So, with these experiences I can't imagine telling my family or others. I think it is an extremely personal decision and every person has to do what's best for them with no judgement from the rest of us.

Yup lol everyone has a story and the are not usually happy ones.
You have to wonder, with all of the horrible stories people pass on, how all of us here made it through surgery. ????
-
You have done awesome! I love seeing these stories Congratulations on all that you have accomplished.

I took 2 weeks off. I was sleeves last Tuesday and I could have gone back to work (desk job) yesterday with no problem.

Not everyone gets a drain. Ask your surgeon if they use them.
Im 2 weeks out is it possible drinking to much can stretch my sleeve

I was sleeved 11/4/14. I am down 16 pounds so IMO you are doing GREAT! I am very content with my loss so far. We each lose at our own rate but we ARE losing!
Congratulations on your 34 pounds!
