You can spend your time looking up recipes for after your surgery, catch up on your picture albums if you have those, and I have been spending some time on Pinterest picking out all the cute clothes that I am going to wear when I get to my goal weight Good luck on your journey and I hope you find something to do to help pass the time. I thought it would be the extra month but I was foolishly hoping it was actually ONLY 5 months lol. I will check with the surgeon next week and let you all know what he says. @micmt Good luck to you wherever you are in your journey

It is ins requirement. I am sorry you had to put in extra time. That really sucks. Hope everything else is going well for you. Did you have the surgery already?

It was my intention to only tell my husband and almost grown children. I don't think it is anyone else's business. I should not have told my husband though lol. He is very supportive of my decision BUT he has told everyone he works with, his friends, and the neighbors. My family all live around the area so it is not impossible that they will find out. I sometimes think I will tell them if I am approved by insurance but it just makes my stomach upset to think about doing that. So I will just see what happens. There is no right or wrong answer here it just depends on what you are comfortable with.

I have to finish with my insurance requirements and I meet with the surgeon for the first time next week where I will find out if he has more requirements for me.

I have been reading these boards for about 3 months. I thought I would say thank you to all of you who take the time to post your before and after experiences. I know I have learned a great deal from your experiences and I can't wait to be able to pay it forward and help new members out someday also. I am just getting started in the process. I have my first appointment with my surgeon 08/14/14. I have already gone to my information seminar. I also have already met with the NUT, bariatric nurse, and the psych person. I am in month 3 of my 5 month supervised medical weight loss program. I joined WW and see my PCP monthly for a weigh in. Good luck to everyone and I hope to get to know you all better. Summer

@@sianywarny good luck with your surgery. I have not heard of the fobi ring. I will have to look that one up. I am sure your children will be greatful to have a healthier more active mother. I thought sleeve patients did not "dump" but that sure sounds like what I have read dumping is like. I am sorry you had this experience. Hope you are feeling better now. Summer
