    And now I wait!

My file was sent to United Health Care on Tuesday for my final approval and I have such a nervous, excited, stressed feeling! I absolutely have no feelings of apprehension as I know this is the best thing I can do for myself, however, I am very nervous and excited, all at the same time. I am so looking forward to the new year, new me and getting my life back. In preparation for my new lifestyle, I've institute the changes I can commit to. I've started going to my spinning classes three times a week again, which I used to do all the time before I gained all this weight. And, I did my first yoga class on Saturday. Let me just say, Yoga is not for the larger version of me! LOL I was exhausted after a few minutes! But I did enjoy it. I guess what I'm trying to express in all this babel is that I haven't felt like myself is about 6 years and I so miss the fun, on the go, healthy me! I can't wait to see her again! Cynthia

    In the home stretch

Congratulations! I'm glad to hear the liquid diet isn't too bad. Best wishes for a wonderful and unevent surgery!
  4. I have my last medically supervised weigh in on Monday, 10/13 and I'm so excited/nervous/ready! It's been 4 months and I gained 4 pounds the first month, loss 11 pounds the second month, stayed the same the third month and have lost 4 pounds this month. I have United Healthcare. Does any one think I'll have an issue with my final surgery approval? I'm just so nervous because I don't know what they expected of me so I'm just curious what others experienced. Thank you!
  5. Okay, perhaps I should be more clear. My doctor's surgical coordinator confirmed my insurance covers the surgery and we received the guidelines from my insurance company in order to start the process. Their requirements were one psychological exam, one nutritional visit and four months of a medically supervised weight loss plan. I have met all except the last visit to the doctor. My question is, has anyone, once meeting all the requirements, been denied after not being very successful on the supervised diet plan or, are they not looking for any measure of weight loss success. Thank you again in advance.
