  1. 229. Nothing like the flu to help get a few pounds off.
  2. Glad things are going in the right direction for both of you.
  3. Saying prayers for both of you and will be thinking about your wife Friday.
  4. I'm going to shoot for 228 for a goal on this one.
  5. Back from vacation. Final weight 235.
  6. I'm in. Will post current wt & goal when I return from vacation over the wkend.
  7. 238 again, sigh. I'll be on vacation next week and won't be around a scale until 1/3. Will have to do my final weigh in late.
  8. Mine seem to last 3 weeks. I lose for 3 weeks then stall for 3 weeks.
  9. I hit a stall about every 3 weeks then lose the following 2 weeks. This week I have had a hard time getting my protein in & am not interested in food, which hasn't been an issue up to this point. Protein drinks help me make up the difference.
  10. My nurse practitioner told me before surgery they expect weight loss to be like stair steps, not a continuous decline. Knowing that helped me get through my first stall & now my second stall. I don't like the stalls at all though or that I seem to hit one about every 3 weeks. I am, however, very thankful for the 24# off in 2.5 months. Hang in there. The weight will come off if we follow the plan.
  11. I went back to coffee at 3 wks. My NUT was ok with it.
  12. Hit another stall. Still at 242 this week.
  13. "Skinny" options are good, even substituting with soy doesn't bring calorie count up much. I primarily order skinny iced & hot vanilla lattes, soy mistos & Very Berry Hibiscus'.
  14. Just remember the pain is temporary and you can get through it. You'll have plenty of medicine to control it. The majority of my pain was acid-related (intense burning at the sternum) and was only resolved with IV Pepcid. Narcotics didn't help it & I had to ask the doc for the Pepcid. Good luck with your surgery! I'm sure all will go smoothly.
  15. I second the Kroger CarbMaster milk option. It tastes good and has 11g of protein per serving.
