  1. I woke up with horrible cramps but I am almost certain it was because I'm on my cycle (cramps felt the same). After some meds.... I felt fine. So far, still NPO but they are going to do a test to make sure all is okay so I can start sipping away. I have a little bit of a sore throat because of the tube but it's very mild. The Chapstick has been my saving grace.... I don't know what I would have done without it. I also have a private room and bathroom.... So I didn't need ear plugs or anything. So happy to not have to deal with others. I walked around 2am and felt fine but dragging around the IV pole and I had a catheter at the time and it was all in my way or so I felt. I "think" I will get to go home later today which would be fantastic!
  2. Good luck today to those having surgery on the 9th. How is everyone feeling from the 8th?.... One day post-op under our belt.
  3. How exciting! Good luck and I hope you have a speedy recovery.
  4. Good luck... It went by so quickly for me and I don't remember a thing.
  5. I also have a nodule and it increased in size in less than a year. My PCM thought it would be an issue for surgery and informed my surgeon. Thankfully he said that it was a separate issue and I can still have surgery and follow up on the nodule afterwards.... which I already planned to do.
  6. Kohl's has a lit of different variety for shapewear. You look fantastic btw.
  7. I'm also waiting.... All hooked up to the IV and listening to all the beeps.
  8. Good luck today everyone! I hope you will update ASAP. Be positive that we will be just as lucky as those before us without any complications and feeling pretty good after our surgeries today. Special good thoughts for our medical teams today and especially our surgeons. See you on the other side of a healthier life.
  9. Thank you.... Great to hear that you are doing so well.
  10. Well it sounds like you have come so far and what you desire is right around the corner. 8 pounds is so doable.... Especially after all the weight you have lost so far. You are doing fantastic!!!!!! Keep it up.
  11. That's awesome! I hope I'm that lucky.
  12. I'm not really nervous yet... Just super excited to get a do-over starting tomorrow. My surgery is in the afternoon so I have to be at the hospital at noon I would have preferred a morning time but oh well.... It's still happening. The waiting around tomorrow will be hard though... Still not even drinking water and the nerves will kick in as the time gets closer.
  13. I'm not taking any with me. The reviews on rather or not it actually works are too mixed. I packed my bag a couple of days ago because I couldn't wait. LOL Come on Monday!!!!
  14. CONGRATS!!!!! you look fantastic.
  15. I think people mean well and they just don't get how their words are coming across. Asking you if you did all your research would at least be better than them trying to throw out some scary fact they read as if they are educating you. I didn't even tell my son because I don't want him to slip up and say something. It's hard keeping it a secret.... My friends are inviting me to do things the week of my surgery and I have to come up with something to say quickly. I would still prefer that over the thousands of questions though.
  16. I am not concerned about the after surgery part. I am so terrified that I would hurt myself if I don't follow my surgeons directions... And I don't want to experience dumping or any other horrible thing I have read about. Right now... I know my stomach and what it can handle so it's a whole lot easier to still want everything. Lol
  17. I have to do clear liquids tomorrow too. The time has just been flying by for me... Today went by so quickly. I don't know how I will make it through clear liquids only though.
  18. The only person I have told is my husband. I didn't even tell him until I was over half way through the pre-surgery process. I don't want to deal with the opinions of others.....
  19. Don't beat yourself up..... You are human and made a mistake. Just keep going, you can do this!
  20. Do you only have to do liquids 2 days prior to surgery?
  21. Not emotional yet. I doubt it will hit me until I'm at the hospital waiting. I tend to freak out at the last minute.
