From the 3s to the 2s
Hello I wanted to know how long it took some of you to get out of the 3s? Specifically asking those who did not have to do a pre op diet and weighed 340+? Because I'm almost 1 month post op and I still need to lose 22 more pounds before I get to 299. I started at 342 lbs. I know everyone is different but please answer because I could use a little motivation right now.

9 days post op, keep having dizzy spells
I agree talk to your Dr. I was going through something similar to that last week. I could be up walking and it would hit me all of a sudden. Not the sweating thing but the dizzy spell. My doc says I'm not drinking enough fluids. I was getting my 64 oz in but I guess still not enough so I shoot for 70 oz.

Am I crazy?
Now I'm 3 weeks post op as of today. I'm down 17 lbs and I know that's a big deal, but when family tells me you look a little smaller. I don't believe them and I think that their just being nice because they know about the surgery, and I don't see any changes. So when they say that I answer by saying, "whatever." I hope you understand and can relate to what I'm saying.

Curious to hear people's stories of gastric bypass....
Hello, I had the bypass 4/8, so I'm a little over 2 weeks post op and my starting weight was 342 lbs and now I'm down to 324 lbs. I'm not gonna lie its not easy but if you put in the work you will succeed. They weren't joking when they said the surgery is just a tool. My reason to have surgery was due to being diagnosed with high blood pressure and diabetes. I didn't want that for myself. So when I got diagnosed with that last June that was my wake up call that I needed to make some changes. I hope you decide if this is best for you because I don't have any regrets.

Protein Shakes - 2 weeks post op
Someone please help! I've tried to do the protein shakes but they are gross. I can't stand milk. I've never liked any kind of milk, so of course it makes the protein shakes even worse. I bought a whole case of premier protein shakes and I try to force myself to drink it but because I hate it so much the very thought of it makes me nauseous. Is there any advice you can give this 2 weeks post op chick?

Spanking by mentor
I'm about 2 weeks out and I understand the temptations. What I do is drink more water, grab a protein shake or do some more walking and that seems to help. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have thoughts of cheating but I remember that's what got me here and the point of surgery was to help me correct that. Please stick to your diet, if not for your health, but from a healing stand point. I guarantee you couldn't explain this to your surgeon without getting the same reaction as your bff, probably worse.

Anyone buy Premier Protein at Sam's Club?
When I bought it last month it was on sale for $19.99 for a 12 pack. So I bought 2, because the original price was $29.99.

April surgeries
@@kwcrnp, Eating is a little challenge for me. I'm sticking to my diet but it doesn't stop my brain from wanting the foods that got me here in the first place. Barely hungry in my stomach but in my mind I'm starving. I called my nutritionist to vent and she was very understanding by explaining that once my weight start coming off this will all be worth it and to continue to stay focus.
