    HALLOWEEN COSTUMES?

I called it God of Thunder, and Rock N Roll !

    Snacks other than protein drink

two words , Pork Rinds. all Protein no sugar, no carbs, and be very careful of low-fat yogurt, yikes its all sugar. if you eat Peanut Butter i recommend only the stuff with just peanuts and oil in the ingredients, the stir it up yourself, stuff, or grind it yourself at a fresh market or whole foods type place.
  3. So before i walk out the door, as this place is simply no longer worth the time, Ill focus on my other areas to help those who need and want it, here is just a few articles for those who call me a liar. Oh and to those who do call me a liar, just because you do something , that doesnt make it right. https://www.facs.org/media/press%20releases/jacs/gastricbypass0311 http://www.obesitycoverage.com/before-after/alcohol-after-weight-loss-surgery/ https://asmbs.org/patients/life-after-bariatric-surgery for RNY https://www.thefix.com/content/gastric-surgery-alcohol-abuse-switching-addictions8421 For bypass https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/03/110310121029.htm there are literally hundreds more. But dont bother looking because I lie evidently because someone once took a drink and said it didnt hit them harder. So by their view, if one person smokes and doesnt get cancer then cigarettes dont cause cancer. Okay then. Have a good life BP people. I will no longer deal with the BS. If you want someone to kiss your ass and tell you you're doing wonderfully as you fail, enjoy it here. its a mutual maturbation society lately. People obsessed with power and their flunkies. Im able to walk away and enjoy this amazing thin life. Trust me when i say this most assuredly will be the last post. Alex has made a great place, unfortunately it eventually gets taken over by those who want nothing more than to be "bitches" and yes thats a quote from them directly. I once left here for 6 months then came back to se if things had changed and unfortunately we have people who now think they know everything about the journey even though they have only just barely started their own and have little compunction against derailing someone else's weight loss journey so they can enable their own destructive behaviors. For those that truly care i urge you to get involved in Surgery help groups and the national obesity awareness campaigns. Or just write your own blog and show the world how this can work. Unlike others i don't hide behind a screen name, heck if you follow my links you'll find my full name, address and even phone number on my blog I will answer any questions directly anyone may have. My pictures are always posted I dont believe in hiding or lying and I do believe in being blunt. Failure is not an option for me as I want to live and hare my life with my wife for as long as possible, it took me 44 years to wake up and see what fat does to you and to me. And you cannot hide being fat, even though we all have tried, I will continue to work with several support groups and with a Protein manufacturer directly as an ambassador. Fort hose who dont like my blunt upfront approach, great, thats your right, what you dont have the right to do is to tell others to ignore their surgeons, to ignore their nutritionists, and to impose your own weight loss cheating and failings on them. If you want to contribute to minimal weight loss and fail, thats your right, dont be a total dick and try to take down others with you. 'My last words, are simple. I will not fail at this, I thank those who helped me along this journey so far, and from the bottom of my heart and soul, I truly wish all of you do not fail as well. see ya.
  4. wow i thought i was salty, shit lady you take the cake, and since the people you mentioned are each not obese and you 5 years out, still are according to your stats. So maybe you shouldn't be throwing stones at them until you yourself can fix your own problems? Yeah i know ill get lambasted for saying it. but you haven't earned the right to criticise those who have earned that right and are winning their fight.

yes maam i can show you the science behind alcohol absorption rates and gastric sleeve patients if you like. its been posted on here often enough as well. yes you drink and work out hard etc and let me ask while you were in your honeymoon, were you eating cake and drinking beers as some have said and did you ignore you surgeons guidelines? Thats what started this whole thing, I can show you all the posts here where people tell others to disregard their surgeons words. That just stuns the hell out of me. especially since its usually from people who themselves are still obese. I really think there is a misery loves company vibe floating around where others are out to sabotage others weight loss in order to look better themselves if they fail. Youve done great, no one can deny it, its inspiring its great and truly I am extremely glad of that fact. Are you advocating cheating during the honeymoon period for others as well? I dont think you are. and those who are truly anger me. EDIZT* i said alcohol metabolism which of course does NOT change, but alcohol absorption and Blood alcohol content are much higher and much faster with LSG patients To wit* Interestingly, 4/10 patients reached the legal limit for driving in the United States at 20 min after the dose of alcohol administered at baseline, 3/10 at 3 months and 1/10 after 12 months. Patients were asked to fast for at least 6 h and were also placed on a hypocaloric liquid diet before surgery and early post-op that may have influenced their hydration and consequently their BAC measured by Breathalyzer. Compared with a normal anatomy where alcohol is absorbed 20 % in the stomach and 80 % in the jejunum, RYGB induces a rapid emptying of the gastric pouch, particularly liquids, and facilitates their absorption into the jejunum where most of the alcohol is absorbed [9]. Additionally, the source of ADH available for first-pass metabolism is less because of decreased gastric volume [21]. LSG produces less drastic gastric anatomical and physiological changes thereby leaving more ADH available for first-pass metabolism of alcohol and increasing the gastric emptying but at a slower pace than in RYGB [22]

So to all on here. After your honeymoon period ends. Youll look back at this time longingly. When you hit maintenance or just further along and the weight loss stops and its time to incorporate more food and yet keep your weight down, you will understand a little better what im trying to say here folks. If you think its this easy further down the road you dont understand why a large percentage of bariatric patients fail.. If you think im being mean or sarcastic, then I have succeeded, because this isnt a joke. this isnt weight watchers where you can just stop and start up again anytime. This is for your life ladies and gentlemen and if you dont want to use this to beat obesity., then You're right you shouldn't listen, dont throw out your fat clothes, you may just need them again. You want BS hand holding and coddling? sorry, not when it comes to stupid calories. You want help, use this to beat the bastard that is obesity.

yes this is just a temporary thing, you wont have to change your diet for the rest of your life. Im going to make one more post after i ask you What the heck did you think this was? a diet? NO its for the rest of your life! ask anyone here who has been successful if they still drink Protein Shakes, i guarantee you 99% will say yes, and thats 5 years post surgery. You think you just lose some weight then everything is great and easy? You really have a lot of planning to do.

Look if you want to drink and eat sweets and cheat and everything while your in your honeymoon, go for it. good luck with your weight loss, while i want you to succeed all the advice in the world is nothing if you don't make the effort. Here's the single issue i have seen hundreds of posts on here from people going in the wrong direction, and wondering why. they hit a big 3 or 4 month stall and the pounds creep back in and they wonder why. Well maybe you understand now that this isnt a part time thing. This is a lifetime journey, and you don't get to go back and pull a do over. So its fine to not listen to me or think im being mean. but if one person out there, just one person for one second re-thinks screwing up THEIR journey, then its all worth it. I will say this and i damn well mean it. If you succeed, its because of you , and if you fail at this. you will have no one else to blame but yourself, not genetics, not addictions, not a bad childhood, you will have been given a second chance, , please dont fail. Please.

  11. you havent added in the daily burn that is the amount of calories you burn just in regular daily activity as well. you are supposed to be in a huge caloric deficit. Thats one of the things we use to lose weight. the person who needs extra calories are those who arent trying to lose and are working out heavily.

What kind of exercises can a 300 pounder do?

First its awesome that you asked this question. Seriously take a bow that you are really doing this. Personally my best exercises ( bad knees etc) revolved for the first year solely on the exercise bike. Cardio cardio cardio was my motto and it worked very well. now i walk on the treadmill and run a little then hit the bike for the longer burn. eventually ill work back into circuit training as wel but for me cardio was the fastest fat burner out there. it also helped me see actual goals of time and distance. which really helped. Keep up the great work! You can do this! Well done man, well done indeed! looking forward to your progress.

maam no where did i say eating cake once and working it into your dail;y routine is bad. i said eating cake in moderation will get you moderately fat. and thats the truth,. no one is perfect that is for sure if i was perfect i would have never been fat for 40 years. The problem i have is when people tell other people to go ahead and go against their surgeons or nutritionists guidelines and tell them its okay to do this or that because it isnt. All people are doing is enabling bad behaviors that lead to failure. Will one night of eating cake cause you to fail, of course not. but eating cake here and there becomes eating cake once a week and then twice and then youre back where you started and I wish no one the horror of going through this and failing. I want every single one of us to succeed beyond their wildest dreams. You as well. its not bullying to say you have to do this forever, its not bullying to say, you shouldn't be downing glasses of guinness on a daily basis if you want to not be fat. No, far from it, all i want is for you and everyone else here to have the best chance at , making a change that truly alters your life.

You can do this if you decide it is for you. I KNOW you can. I was fat my whole life, i waited until i was 44 to have my surgery and now at 45 im thin or correct weight for the first time in my life. You have to want to do this for you. No one else can live your life for you. If you decide this is for you, then please do what you know, deep inside is best. There are a lot of people here that will help you anyway we can. God luck!

How far out are you? This is your surgeon, whose advice is important, but your success is up to you. You are an adult, and you make your own choices. We all know that there are many, many variations on postop guidelines. The farther out from surgery you are, the more your choices are on you. yes make your own choices, because we make such GREAT food choices so far . i mean come on, you literally just advised someone to ignore their surgeon and do what they want? WTF?

JT you want a hug? or you want to succeed at this? Do you want people to just enable your bad habits? or you want to get thin? you want to eat drink and be merry , be the jolly fat guy? or you want to be the healthy thin guy? Its up to you, if you want me to kiss your ass, fine. You're doing great you'll, never fail, drink all you want, Calories don't matter , sugar and carbs don't matter, you'll be great eat and drink everything, Matter of fact advise people how they can fail too, so if you fail, you'll have someone to fail with. Every person here that has succeeded, understands what i'm saying., if you think i'm being harsh? fine, i'm being a dick, WHY? Because I want you to succeed, if you dont get your head straight, you will not succeed.

seriously, the some of us line is Bull, when you hit your goal and keep it off then please feel free to show what people.can and cant do. when you reach goal if you can make thi work and eat a few bites of cake, well good for you, thats awesome. but seriously, if you dont go into this and make a true effort , then you will fail. Many people dont seem to understand this is about changing the way you live FOREVER. This is not about a temporary diet that you just do for a little while, lose some weight then eat everything in moderation. That just means youll stay moderately fat. Dont sabotage yourself before you start truly succeeding.

    Help with Whey shakes.

Hi Fab! I don't want to seem stupid, but I'm new to this site and I have no idea what pb2 is. Can you help? Thanks, Cassie What's a mugcake ? @@Stevehud I'm sorry I'm so new , I appreciate your help and time. I'm struggling with the shakes too.. My Nut says I can only have it mixed ONLY with Water ... I'm dying .. Help !! I bought Isopure zero carb in the Cookies and Cream flavor.I also don't know what "mugcake" means. Thanks for helping us newbies! Hello maam, here is the mugcake video for you. If your using water as a base im not sure that would work for you at all. ive never tried it with water. I use the sugar free non dairy creamer type stuff, also your Protein powder has to have some egg albumen in it. But many other use a little egg white mixed in to substitute. trust me these things helped me get to goal in a huge way. I atill eat them, at least 4 to 5 times a week and love them. http://www.bariatricpal.com/videos/view-154-mugcake-recipe-video/

    Help with Whey shakes.

actually, thats not true BTW pb2 has fat and sugar maam. its a bit less than peanut butter regular but still contains both. Also you dont mix it with oil, you just mix it with a little Water.

keep piling on the sugars, i mean why bother to go through this at all , im sure you dont really have to lose weight. Nah give up now save yourself the trouble.

    Alcohol

i think you should definitely drink, and eat cake and candy and french fries, heck just give in before you even start, alcohol is all sugar , very high in calories, hits you 7 times harder than it used to, and you have an incredibly higher chance of becoming an alcoholic as well. All in all, those are great reasons to just fail. Why bother dieting, come on, just eat a cake or two, i mean you dont really have to change your life, just diet for a little while then go back and eat like you used to. No one ever fails at this. Drink up ! enjoy!
