  4. Congratulations Emily you are doing great. Keep up the good work!
  5. I bought a pair of size 14 pants and wore them to work Thursday. A co-worker said "I almost got some pants just like that. You are shopping in normal sizes now. " I kinda went back to my office and cried. She knows I had surgery. I am happy but mad it has taken so long to get to this point.
  6. I believe that you will get an answer soon. Just keep calling until they can tell you something. They are not really doing you a favor. You are your best advocate. Let us know what happens!
  7. I too have found myself at my desk snacking. The only thing that help at 9 weeks post-op is a jug of ice water. I love to add Crystal Light grape. It works for me.
  8. Call the doctor's office and speak with the person who coordinates his surgeries. Tell them what you need to do and why. This after all is a business. Good luck!
  9. Hi, I was sleeved 08/01/2014. I am losing weight and feeling okay. It is still wired to eat. Each day, I am learning what it means to be sleeved. This is a lifetime commitment and there have been days when I slip. But, I am moving forward and being positive. Sometimes, it hard to see myself as thinning and that is my biggest mental block.
  10. Good to hear you are feeling better. I hope everyone is doing well!
  11. Good luck to you and know that this is a chance for a healthier life. It hard work but it is worth every bit of the effort!

  14. I had pain for 4 weeks. I am on week 6 with just a little discomfort. I went back to work after 11 days (desk job). Everyone is different and usually I bounce back fast but that has not happen. I would do it again. I am happy to be sleeved. Good luck to you and take care of yourself.
  15. Welcome and you are doing great!
  16. Hello and welcome! You will find support here. People are often rude and have no empathy. However, it appears that you are going to need to learn how to love yourself. Weight is not the entire issue. Remember to give yourself some credit and demand respect. Change doctors if you can or at least tell him that you feel disrespected. No matter what the scale says you are a human being. Love you and others will also.
  17. I hope things are going better for you. Have a fast recovery. Walk when you can. Things do get better.
  18. I completely understand. I am at one month and going through the something. I spent Sunday at the mall. Today, I just want to go to bed and wake-up normal. Yes, I am losing weight but not feeling great. I believe that it will get better. You are not alone!
  19. Just checking in to see how you all are doing this week. I so happy to be sleeved. This has not been easy. I am trying to find soft foods. The best thing has been hummus. Fruit smoothies plus protien are also going in well. I have a lot of gas pain still. I have to walk around my office sometimes even in the middle of meetings. It is kinda funny.
  20. Congratulations! Rest, walk and sip when you can!
  21. Take care of yourself!
  22. Well, I would say to also walk when you can. I took Gas-X in my purse and on day 2 they made a big difference. Good luck and congrats.
  23. I went crazy and believed that I was going to die when I stopped drinking pop (soda). It is withdrawal. Caffeine is a really addictive drug as is sugar. I believe you should be fine. Check with your doctor too.
