    Why the sleeve?

I did the sleeve because of some of the same reasons mention above! I wanted to lose about 130 pounds. I haven't reached goal yet but I anticipate it being a longer process. I have no regrets. I will reach goal by 1/2016 sleeved 8/2014. I didn't get fat overnight so I didn't expect to be skinny overnight either. Sometimes I struggle with the slow process. However I know this is a lifetime journey and not the fad diet I'm used to. I feel healthy and strong. Best of luck to you.
  10. It really depends on your body! My pain was bad but manageable with medications. I had gas and incision pain! It got better, I would do it again! Pain management is more important for some than others! Work with your team!

    I want to fly!

I am in the helping profession also! We can be the worst patients! We tend to intellectualize our personal experiences. Make sure you remind yourself to take care of yourself and you will fly! This is often a great place for support! Welcome to a lifetime journey!
  18. If pain is your real concern working with your doctor is you best option! When I had sleeve surgery I prepared myself by taking a pillow for the ride home and making sure I took medications before I left the hospital! Yes it was painful! But today I'm so much more healthier. And I'm still working on it. It is your body only you can decide!
  19. Congrats you are home! Make sure to take your meds!
