Anyone else have a diva sleeve?

This is what works for me as well. I can only take in a very small amount at one sitting and 5-6 mini meals work great for me.

    December Sleevers

Sleeved December 31st and down 40 pounds. The most change is in my clothes and the way they fit. I've decided to wear dresses for a while to keep from buying new pants. Still struggling with fluids and protein and it's been hard at times. Overall, very pleased with my progress. I was 236 the day of surgery so it's great to be back in the 100s!
  3. Dec 31st and down 32 pounds!
  4. I drink one small cup a day but waited until I was a month out. I'm currently 2 months out.

    Frustrated and Weak

I'm 2 weeks out and stalled for several weeks post op. I gained pretty steadily for 3 weeks and then nothing!! I had to force myself to start walking this week and it helped. Got things moving again. I also had a bout of dizziness at about 1 month. Learned I wasn't getting enough fluids. What I've done is bought the flavorless protein and added it to my crystal light drinks. It's been a lifesaver!

    Sleeve Surgery and Menstruation

I'm the same way. Pick up a pack of those weight watchers candies. A serving size is 3 and I spread them out throughout the day. I usually do 1 with lunch, 1 with dinner, and usually don't need the third.

    No BM in two weeks?

Same exact experience for me. I ended having to use enemas after I hadn't went for a few weeks. I still have some in my medicine cabinet just in case!!

    Still in pain

I had pain for weeks after my surgery. I'm currently two months out. It took my about a month to be pain free. Now I feel great!

    Already?

I'm 2 months out and stalled for 2 weeks! It just broke today and boy was I happy! But, during this time I definitely lost inches and that made me feel much better! I started working out this week (30 mins on treadmill) and I think that helped. I also paid closer attention to hydration as I found myself dehydrated early on. Can only eat very little, but I'm doing several small "meals" a day. A meal meaning a few bites at a time. Good luck and I'm sure it will pass.

    Cereal

I'm seven weeks post sleeve this week and I miss my cold breakfast cereal. I bought Special K today which I enjoyed preop. Anyone else eat cereal and if so, which ones?

Great. I have unflavored protein powder too. Didn't even think to add it! Thanks!

    Dizziness

Hello everyone, I'm four weeks post op and today I've been dizzy each time I stand up! I stayed home from work today because I didn't trust myself to not fall. Anyone else experience this?

    BCBS Federal: share your experience!

I have BCBS federal. My starting bmi was 36 with high blood pressure and later diagnosed with GERD. Took the sleep study but no apnea or abnormalities. There is no requirement to loose weight during the 3 months. I actually gained a few! Had no problem with approval because my history of hbp was well documented through years of treatment. I was approved in 5 days.

    Dizziness

I'm doing better with hydration than I am protein. Really making an effort to get more protein. Today I ordered unflavored protein to get more in. I'm almost 5 weeks out but can barely easy puréed food.

Yes, I do take hbp pills.

    Dizziness

Thanks for your reply. I think perhaps I'm not getting enough in either. Have you been dizzy the entire 5 months?

    BCBS Federal- clock begins!

Hi everyone. Learned today that Bcbs federal received my packet yesterday. 33 pages!! It's currently under review. Anyone have an idea how long it takes to get a decision? Gosh!! This is stressful!!

    BCBS Federal- clock begins!

It only takes 3 months. Three office appts to include nutritionist, a stress test, sleep study, and a psych appt. there was no upfront weight loss requirement either. My bmi was 36 so I needed to have 2 comorbidities which were high bp and GERD.
