    Reached One-der-land this morning!

    Excellent work.
  3. I'm six months out and I go out to eat all the time. Yes I eat less but I still enjoy food. The sleeve is just a tool that helps you stop overrating.

    What Diet Do You Follow?

I focus on protein, veg and fruit but I eat a little of everything sometimes. Down 83. 17 to go. It come off slowly but I'm trying to find a path for life.

    Cardio or weight training

Try the 7 minute workouts. They keep your heart rate up for a good cardio but they use your own body weight to build muscle. Best bang for your buck. I use an app on the iPhone. I tend to do 3-4 different each time which takes about 40-50 minutes.
  6. At 5 months I still have problems. I've learned to be very careful. At 2 months I got out of bed to go to the bathroom, passed out and banged my head of the floor hard enough to have a headache for two days. I get a lot of calories so I think it's low blood pressure. I've read that when you lose weight the vessels are still dilated to support the weight and it can make you dizzy. Drinking LOTs of Water and taking B12 has helped the most. For me it wasn't a blood sugar issue. Be careful. Always get up slowly.

    3.5 months and 105 down!

You should feel so accomplished. Use the momentum to keep you going.
  8. I agree. If you can handle beef, you can spice it up. The only thing that has caused me problems is dairy.

How soon can I move around?

For me the limiting factor was exhaustion due to limited calorie intake. I didn't return to normal for about 6 weeks. Workouts were tough in the beginning.

How soon can I move around?

You should walk as soon as you're not too groggy that you'll fall over. You can drive, etc as soon as you no longer need pain pills. For me that was a day or two.

    Ok you guys...tell me -

My surgeon says that there can be some "stretching" but mostly there is an increase in the opening from the stomach to the intestines allowing food to pass through quickly. He claims most weight gain is because people learn to eat around their stomachs by consuming liquids and sliders.

    Liver Reduction Diet... SUCKS.

My nut was a lifesaver. She said I didn't have to do shakes but I had to do lean protein and low low carbs. It saved me though because I hated the shakes and I could chew something. My liver looked great when surgery time came.

    TRYING TO DECIDE

I'm only three months out but so far I'm extremely glad that I did it. My only regret is that I didn't do it years ago. I started at 253. I was forced to do 6 months of supervised weight loss. This turned out to be a great thing. I lost 40 pounds and I gradually brought my calories and carbs down. When I final had the surgery, it was good as my willpower was starting to wane. I've lost 30 pounds in 3 months. This isn't much faster than before the surgery. The upside of slow weight loss is that people aren't constantly asking what happened. The world just thinks I've been on a diet. I keep my calories and carbs a little higher than most (1000-1200). I find this range makes me have more energy and I can still enjoy food. I am now losing 1-2 pounds per week.

    Dizzy spells 2 weeks out

I still get dizzy at three months out. Some days are better than others. Neither I nor the surgeon can find any obvious explanation. The nutritionist suggested drinking lots of broth as it provides Water, salt and nutrients. I find adding a little banana to my morning Protein shake helps the most. Maybe my potassium gets low. In fact one night I got up too fast to go to the bathroom, passed out and banged my head on the floor. Be careful. I always get up very carefully now.
