  1. I love this post because I have little self control and as a result I was morbidly obese (ok I am still technically morbidly obese but after losing 5lbs I will just be plain old "obese"). I know that I would NEVER have lost 50lbs without my band. Never. Yes I have to make good choices and I am a complete newbie at this but I know this for sure. So while I pat myself on the back for working the band, I know that without it I would never lose weight and I would be a miserable 300lb plus woman huffing and puffing.
  2. I love your posts. Thank you for sharing.
  3. Around my period my band gets tighter.
  4. Good for you! How could the dr tell you were retaining water?
  5. 50lbs. Gone forever!!!!
  6. No I only have 2.5cc. Oh well. I will ask the nurse next time.
  7. What a way to start a day!! Keep up the good work and congrats!!
  8. I started out at 315 and I'm about 267 now and basically no one has noticed who doesn't know I had surgery. Then again I don't like to mention people's weight so if someone noticed they haven't said anything.
  9. Your surgeon is super tiny and skinny. I can attest!!!
  10. Went for a fill today and the receptionist said that after my next fill I have to see the surgeon for fills v the nurse practitioner. Why would that be? I'm at NYU if that rings any bells for fellow patients.
  11. Got a second fill this morning. I'm now at 3.5cc. Just enjoying my tomato soup again.
  12. I went to NYU as well. It's a center of excellence for bariatric surgery. Sounds like you may be on Long Island. Check out LIJ or North Shore as well if you don't want to go to the city. Make it convenient so you get your fills
  13. I would ask your doctor. Make sure your sutures are totally closed. Ask at your 7 day follow up
  14. I get this stubborn mucus as well mucinex does not help me. It's like the mucus just won't leave. I have done some alternative medicine during these times like acupuncture or foot massage. It helps every time. Those darn post nasal drips can go on for weeks for me and I hack and hack. Good luck. You also may try a Neti pot or hot water with peppermint oil and out a towel over your head.
  15. Sorry my husband works Sunday so I have no child care but keep me updated on the next one. Sorry to miss it!!!
  16. I have 2 Tankinis with skirted and non skirted bottoms. Size 24. Let me know if interested. Also have an olive tankini from lands end. Bottom is not skirted. Will send for free.
  17. Really need to get back on the healthy eating train. Have to get some band friendly eats in the house!!!
  18. Hiw awful! You seem to have a wonderful perspective which will take you far. That and some great doctors is the key to your success in beating this. I know there was a link about someone having cancer after lap band surgery on this site.
  19. Ldimples Oh I hope it's nothing! Let us know what results you get. You are in my thoughts.
  20. Amponder. Right with ya lady!!!
