  1. I actually got a reading a few years ago from a local man who doesn't charge for his service because he only reads for people he feels led to. He actually went to my mother's office (he was a customer at the business she works at, but had never sat down and personally communicated with her) and sat down by her desk, started carrying on a conversation with her in general about her children. He picked up my picture off of her desk and asked if I was her daughter. She said yes, he handed her his card, briefly explained about what he does, and told her I needed to come see him. Then he left. Needless to say, I went. It took a few days to work up the courage to make the call because a part of me was afraid of what he had to say, but at the same time, I knew I needed to, ya know? It was really an amazing, once in a lifetime experience. Probably as close to a John Edwards reading as I'll ever get.
  2. It was really neat hearing him talk about how he has to turn himself off unless he is doing a show and the process he goes through before a show to open himself back up for the crowd. And actually, at our show, he came out early because he was getting such strong messages from the young son of a lady there. He said the boy wouldn't leave him alone until he came out to speak to his mother! Do you check his website to see his tour schedule? The tickets were about $60 each, but well worth it, even without getting a reading.
  3. Just go to ww.blogspot.com and it will walk you through step by step. It's a Google site, but you don't have to have gmail to set up a blog.
  4. Oh, I agree! And if he was faking it, how in the world could he have so many different actors playing along and never saying anything? I think the rumors are just how people who for whatever reason can't believe deal with what they don't understand. We saw him in Charlotte, NC several years ago and found him very believable. The crowd was limited to 300 people, so a very intimate setting. But it is very hard to sit there wanting so bad for a reading from a "professional" and to not get one.LOL But I'm sure everyone in the room felt the same way.
  5. Strickland is my married name. Where is your family from? We live in SC, but hubby is from NC and his dad's family is from the midwest somewhere. He was one of 9 children himself. LOL My maiden name is Clark and my mother was a Pritchard. I just started that blog thing today. Have seen it in other places and decided to give it a whirl.
  6. Dejavu is the weirdest thing because you never know if you are remembering something from this life or a previous one.
  7. Have you ever seen John Edwards live? It is really fascinating. I have read some things lately about him being a "fake", but I wonder if those rumors are just being started by ney-sayers and non-believers in an attempt to discredit what they don't understand or that goes against their beliefs. Anyway, he said he has to turn himself off to keep from being bombarded when out in public. I can't imagine being that open, but at the same time think it would be fascinating. Having been born and raised in the heart of the Bible belt, I have kept my intuition secret for years. As the ability to "see" things becomes more mainstream thanks to tv and news, it is much easier to speak freely of it than it has been in the past. It really is a blessing, I don't know how anyone could see it as anything else, but many do.

I hate it when people post just to post.....

    Are you pregnant??
  9. I believe the same as you about other people having the ablility. It seems to not be happeneing as often lately, but I think that has to do with stress. And sometimes it's just a feeling about a situation, really positive or really negative. Like, for example, going into a job interview and seeing myself working there. The worst things I have ever known before they happened were the deaths of both my mothers in law and hubby's grandmother. Hoping I can get back in touch with that part of myself when we get moved back home. Have you ever done any research on shaprening it or do you prefer not being "open" all the time? If you don't feel comfortable continuing our discussion on board, you can PM me.

Is split personalities one of the side effects of having a band?
  12. Good or bad things or just things in general? Just curious because I do the same thing, but unfortunately, it's usually bad stuff I sense.

If you are carrying on a conversation with yourself using your multiple ID's, is that the same as having a split personality? :heh:
  14. My husband did that at 21, but I told him when his years of experience at an age reached the same number as the age he has to get older, like it or not. Guess he will move up to 25 this year.

Why does a new thread dissappear?

That is weird. Maybe someone else can shed some light? Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Why does a new thread dissappear?

There are probably other threads that have received more recent responses and yours got bumped down the list. Did you check on the second page? When a thread gets a response, it automatically moves to the top of the list, bumping all those under it further down the list. To get yours back to the top, go to it and just do something like post the word "bump" or **** or whatever and it will go back to the top of the list. For the most responses, it is better to do that later in the day, like after 5 for those who are working.
  17. I think I would request a demonstration.
  18. Everybody needs a little love. If that weren't true, there would be no market for products like Viagra, Cyalis, etc. You won't be in your 20's forever ya know.

People really do that??? How weird!!
  20. Is anyone familiar with any of the bariatric surgeons in Columbia, SC? I had started the process in Atlanta, but will be moving back to my home area in a couple of weeks and will have to find a new surgeon. Thinking about Dr. Tribble, mainly because his brother was my mother's heart surgeon and he was AWESOME. Silly, huh? :guess

    Doctors in Columbia, SC?

Hi Sitarra! He is at Baptist. Do you know what kind of experience your friend had there? I would consider Lexington, but we are going to be living in Sumter and the drive would be a bit much for the appointments I think. Any help/insight you can give will be greatly appreciated.
  22. DH just reminded me to point out that the lozenge thing is also very nice when used on the female. :whoo:
  23. Pop rocks candy also provides an interesting sensation, so I've been told.
