Snack ideas?
I'm with you. I may or may not have killed more than my fair share of Oreos pre-op. I do not plan on even bringing them around now that I'm post-op. My poor kids are going to be deprived!

Snack ideas?
I've tried the cookie dough Oreos and they're not NEARLY as good as they sound. They taste like butter and leave a weird texture on the roof of your mouth. Ick!

Pain Meds?
Yep, and the IV Tylenol worked great. I only needed the kick of dilaudid a couple of times... Will do!

Pain Meds?
I was also wondering about being able to open up Tylenol capsules and sprinkling them in my water. That's what they have me doing with my Prilosec. I'll have to check out the adult liquid. I have to call the office about changing my post-op appointments anyway. I'll ask at the same time. I'd just like to find something that takes the edge off without being the narcotics (unless I really need them).

Pain Meds?
Nope, I had the sleeve. I was kind of surprised too, but I guess I'll follow it until I meet with him on Friday.

Hungry or All in my mind
For me, during the pre-op diet, it's mind over matter. You're probably eating fewer calories than you're used to, so you might be actually hungry, but it's important to stick to your liquid diet. Hang in there, you'll be on the other side before you know it. I'm 3 days post-op and more than happy with just the water I've had today.

Pain Meds?
I was told no liquid Tylenol, because of the sugar. I was told that if I wanted to TRY it, it probably wouldn't hurt anything, but to make sure to try it at home, and that the surgeon really didn't recommend it.

Onderland finally
Congrats!! I'm hoping to hit onderland in the next few months. I haven't been there is about 14 years.

Any November Sleevers?
I'm on clear liquids through day 10, then I think it's a week of full liquids, a week of puréed, a week of soft foods, and then full food.

FINALLY! I have found not one but TWO things I **HATE** about my sleeve.
Yeah, since I'm always cold pre-op, I'm sure it's not going to get better post-op and I live in MN.... Maybe I need to move somewhere that's warmer!

Clear liquid diet 3 days prior to surgery
My clear diet does not include any protein. I did it two days pre-op and I'm in the middle of the 8 days post-op. I look forward to going back to full liquids.

How long were you in the hospital ?
Seriously, kudos to you. I didn't really even feel human until today. Pre-op I was really hoping to get out after one night, but now I'm glad I was in for two nights.

FINALLY! I have found not one but TWO things I **HATE** about my sleeve.
I do have one pair of cuddle duds... I just need to find them.

Scared ????
I definitely wouldn't agree to wls until you have time to process it. I'm two days post-op and am asking myself what I got myself into... LOL!

Pain Meds?
I'm getting a prescription for dilaudid. I was mostly on Tylenol while in the hospital but did get a couple of boosts of dilaudid when I got uncomfortable. I wish they would just let me take Tylenol now that I'm out, but they said no pills and that the children's liquid has too much sugar.

How many incisions (holes) did you have?
I have 5. The hospital staff said that they normally see 6. I have one on the right hand side, near my belly button that is really sore. Otherwise, the rest feel good at only 2 days out.

Driving
I am being discharged today and asked about driving. I was told to think of the narcotic pain meds as alcohol. If I take those meds, no driving until the effects have worn off. If I'm not taking those meds, I'm clear to drive.

Post op sucks!
My gas seems to be mostly gone today. I had surgery on Thursday. The first day or so it was caught under my diaphragm, which was really uncomfortable. Yesterday afternoon I could feel it moving up into my shoulders which wasn't quite as bad. Today I feel things really gurgling around, but otherwise I feel good.

FINALLY! I have found not one but TWO things I **HATE** about my sleeve.
Not only do I have a blanket at work, I also have an electric blanket because I'm always SUPER cold. Now that I'm 1 day post-op I'm afraid of just how cold I'm going to be!

Post op sucks!
It also sucks when they're an hour behind on the pain meds and you strain your right side climbing back into bed... Youch!
-
The day has arrived!
The gas pains in my diaphragm are no joke, but otherwise I feel okay. Finally sipping water, which tastes amazing.

Any November Sleevers?
Good luck! I had surgery yesterday. Other than the dreaded gas pains I feel pretty good. Definitely trying to stay ahead on the pain meds.

Post op sucks!
It sucks that my gas pains are in my diaphragm... So, it hurts to take a breath.

Post op sucks!
I'm on day #2 and these gas pains are no joke.
