Anyone with July dates? And or Minnesota folks here?
If you look in the Local groups board, there's a thread for MN people. It isn't overly active, but they were doing get togethers each month for a while.

Lovely bones
Yes! I love seeing my new bones every now and then... Took my hubby a while to adjust though.

Women who have had c sections
I've had two previous c-sections and they made me an expert in rolling onto my side before trying to sit up. My VSG recovery was easier than my c/s recoveries, bit I've also heard others say the opposite.

Hi all
The very first food I couldn't wait to have post op was refried beans!

To hell with it
I've also been struggling to embrace my bat wings. Way to go!

Your weirdest breakfast?
Beef jerky! One of my friends thinks that the concept is disgusting. LOL!

Eating out
Fish, chili, or grilled chicken are my go to. I always try to review the menu before I go, so I have a plan ahead of time.

Regret
Seriously, hang in there. I was so uncomfortable at that stage but I'm now a little over 5 months out and it's gone by in a flash. I feel AMAZING. I would never go back, for anything!

How old are/were you?
I turned 32 about two weeks post-op.

Wedding ring/Engagement ring
I was 272 lbs at the beginning of this journey. I just had my rings sized down to a 4.75! I don't think my fingers look small but I guess they are!

Clothing size
Vanity sizing... The last time I weighed what I do right now, I was 15 yrs old. At that point I was wearing a size 14. 17 years and two kids later, at the same weight, I'm wearing a size 10. I'm don't think I'm smaller, I think the clothes sizes have grown over the years. BUT, I'm not complaining!

Losing TOO MUCH weight?
I have a girl at work who keeps commenting. The latest was that I'm withering away... She's 3-4" taller than me and about 60 lbs less than me... Pretty sure I'm fine. The comments are annoying though.

Clothing size
I was SQUEEZING into a size 18 last July. Now I'm comfortably in a size 10.

Memorial Day Challenge!

Well, I Went Swimsuit Shopping
They also have bra sized tankini tops! They have loose fronts and cover all that a one piece does but more loosely! I actually ordered one of those too, but the rash guard also covers the bat wings.

Well, I Went Swimsuit Shopping
I ordered a few bikini separates for my vacation in May. BUT, I'll be wearing a rash guard shirt over the top. I just knew that I could get the best "lift" out of a bra size bikini top.

Silly question
This has becomes response too. I can't believe how any people actually ask... Like coworkers!

Biggest surprise/regrets after surgery?
Sorry, I don't know how to tag you from my phone. It was a family friend who has kids my age and he was saying things like: "Where'd you leave the other half of you?" "Day-um!!!" (damn) "You look GOOD!" "You look amazing!!" I also had one of the male Directors at work come into my office and ask "what's with the transformation", that he saw me and wasn't even sure that it was me. That I don't look anything like I did before. He just kept going on and on. I weigh right now what I did when I was 15 yrs old. I have lost almost 100 lbs. I get that it's significant and that I look good, but I wish people could just comment that I'm looking good and leave it at that. I'm tired of the continual comments and need to ask me a bunch of questions. Or the people that I see frequently that feel the need to comment every time. And those who ask how much I've lost (she's just catty and competitive). I'm just over it and ready for people to move on.

Biggest surprise/regrets after surgery?
My biggest surprise has been how uncomfortable everyone's comments make me feel. I saw someone yesterday that I hadn't seen in a while and it was just uncomfortable with all of their comments...
