  1. So jealous of you right now! Lol....I wish I could have some mash potatoes...glad to see you're feeling better!
  2. Thank you. I do have some excess skin under my arms and lower stomach. I have been working on them since about 4 months post op with weight training and toning, but I do suspect eventually I will have surgery to get excess skin removal. Well I can't tell!! You look simply amazing! Such an inspiration! Keep up the good work!
  3. Oh wait...is this pre or post? Pre surgrey I cheated very little...I ate a snack size twix here or there or ate an extra bowl of cabbage here or there but still lists a total of 10lbs preop. Now that I'm in post op....I'm too afraid. Honestly I couldn't see myself having to go back in and my doctor having to cut me open again. I'm only 6 days out and I'm sticking to the liquids. Am I drinking enough liquids, probably not, but nothing solid. Do I desire something solid, yes!
  4. Wow! You've inspired me! You look amazing. Can I ask you a personal question....dud you have a lot of extra skin or did you tone as you went along?
  5. Besides a twin snack bite here and there, I did. Lol....
  6. Thank you all....I absolutely love this website. I live on here now. Any question I have, I post it and in minutes I have answers! Thank you guys dearly!
  7. Omeprazole? My doctor gave me this to take after my gastric sleeve. However, it's not liquid and I thought I could only have liquids and it stated on the box not to crush? Has anyone else had to take these and how did they go down?
  8. Ok, I've read a lot about it but with 5 days out, I've not experienced it, and hopefully never will but just in case, can someone give me their personal experience with it. Not the dictionary version but your own personal experience. I previously had the LapBand and I vomited all the time, a painful vomit where I had to go lay down afterwards. I just want to know if the two compares. I currently have the sleeve BC of too many complications with the Lapband. Also were there certain things that would trigger dumping syndrome and for us "newbies" must stay way from. Thanks for sharing!
  9. I totally agree! Une nouvelle vie
  10. Yes the waiting was the hardest part but the not knowing if my insurance was going to cover would drive me crazy. My dr. Office didn't even give me a date until my insurance approved it and I paid any left over. But it all worked out in the end...no worries! Relax...
  11. I am only 36 and your story is my story! Lol...you will be fine. I tried for so long to Lise weight and I simply could not. I am 5 day out of sleeve surgery and I feel great. At this point I am not hungry at all and I can't wait to get back to my normal, more healthier way of living! This journey will change your life for the better. During my 2 week liquid diet, with only 1 meal a day, I cheated here and there but I stayed focused and so will you. We fall sometimes, it's ok...dust yourself off and try again! Take care and good luck!
  12. I watched tons of Dr. Alvarez videos on youtube. He answered a lot of my questions. I never thought about leaving the state for surgery....I will keep my options open. Thanks.
  13. I am only 5 days out and I'm not hungry at all but I'm thinking long term. I wanted any "months out" people to tell me of any if their favorite food they can no longer eat because if the sleeve. I know my absolute favorite fiord to eat is Crab Nachos. I have read some post and i see people say they don't enjoy the taste of certain items. Can someone please share their experience. I know the sleeve is a tool and I must make lifestyle changes I'm just thinking ahead! Thanks in advance.
  14. Where did you get the turkey chili? Or did you make it?
  15. I am 5 days out and I'm still not hungry! Not even a little bit! I wouldn't do it though. The thought if messing up weeks of prep and endangering myself scares me away from cheating! Stay strong.
  16. In which week can we eat these?
  17. Can I ask why you chose to gave your surgrey in Mexico? I've noticed a lot of people had their surgrey in Mexico. Trying to see what I mussed out on? Please share...just make sure you have a good pillow to protect your belly. Good luck!
  18. Hello ladies, I am 4 days out as well, however my pain is still present with a vengeance. It might gave something to do with the fact I had a Lapband reversion plus a bit of scar tissue. But nevertheless, I feel great. Everyday it gets better. I don't regret it at all...down 21lbs!
  19. 4days out and the itching is insane! I was hoping it would go away soon....but from your post , it might be around for a minute.
  20. You will be fine...four days ago, my band was revered to the sleeve and it all happened in one surgery. I too had scar tissue but surgery only took 60 mins. I feel 100% better! Even water seems to go down better. I did not gave a slippage but struggled to swallow food.
  21. Found the Muscle Milk website...I didn't kniw they had protien bars! Awesome...
  22. Link wouldn't open
  23. I just googled this one and noticed it is on Groupon for the next 3 days for only $26.99 versus the $49.99 that Bed Bath and Beyond's website shows it listed at. I might have to order it! You won't regret it!
  24. I am only 4 days out of surgery and so far so good. It seems it's a bit more painful. Lapband I went home same day, sleeve I had to spend the night. Plus for so e reason my blood pressure kept going up. I have lost about 20 since I started my preop till now. I'm doing so much better.
