  1. My friend posted this on my fb page
  2. I have cigna...I had to do a 3 month supervised diet and nutritional Psych eval. No gain of weight for the 3 months. Esophageal camera. It's been a long road but my date is set for March 2nd But.again it depends on your policy
  3. We all do Michelle. Good luck
  4. Mine will be March 2nd. I can't wait. I just want it over and done with and on to my new life
  5. I haven't seen my surgeon in a medical way yet and I've been on this road since May. I've met him twice but he hasn't actually seen me
  6. My cousin is in compound pharmaceuticals, he says he has a scar cream that is getting amazing results and is covered by insurance. Gotta give it a go when and if I need it.
  7. Time to show up in person and start being the squeaky wheel !
  8. I was just reading up on some stuff because im having a bad flare up. I have to discuss this with my doctor- Hidradenitis Suppurativa It looks and sounds like what I have(tho some severe cases are freaking scary) I hope that the ins well pay for the plastic surgery to keep the skin from rubbing in different places. Google it (if you have a strong stomach Google the images)
  9. Ive heard that any of the obama care insurances will pay. Even tho your insurance says it's not covered you can appeal for medical necessities. You need some back up from your primary physician. So if you have high bp or diabetes or such talk to your dr.
  10. The insurance comp. It's a code issue. I've had a hernia let loose and it is insanely unpleasant. I want this one fixed before it happens again.
  11. So it can take a long time to get this rolling.
  12. Your welcome. There are tons of knowledgeable people here who know way more than I do. Once you decide what procedure your having there are sections to go to for each one. Check with your ins.co. to make sure they cover them all. I'm assuming your a woman (tho we have plenty of men on here so if I'm wrong sorry) there is a woman gone wild section that covers any delicate personal issues you might have. I find it very helpful. Did the ins tell you about any hoops they want you to jump? Like I had to have a bmi( body mass index) of 40, a co morbidity like high bp or diabetes or any other weight related issues. I also had to have a psych eval and a 3 month supervised diet. I started my journey in April /May of last year and my surgery is in March.
  13. Just look around in here. Read as much as possible and talk to your dr about any expectations
  14. No one knows what "the girls" will look like till it's all said and done. But there's always plastic surgery to make them perky again.
  15. Welcome. It depends on a lot of things. And you need to discuss it worth your doctor. I am having the vertical sleeve(vsg) on March 2nd. For me after research on here and online I liked it cause I wasn't completely rerouting my system and I have allot of weight to lose. Im only doing this once so I don't want a band revision in the future so that's one of the reasons I didn't choose the band. The surgery is a tool. How much our little you lose will depend on you and your body. If you eat things you shouldn't then you won't lose as much. If you stick to a high protein low carb diet then you should do well
  16. Yeah insurance companies are more than willing to take your money. Good know they don't use it to train people to do their jobs. Ive been fighting for two weeks with Cigna tele drug(the absolute worst ever but the only option I have) trying to get my husbands New drug and insulin. Omg I swear I feel like Denzel in that movie where he takes over the hospital because he's fighting for his son. These people don't know their elbows from their asses. I blame them for my high bp lol
  17. Yeah I lived in Florida for the last 25 yrs and did the paper towel trick. I have the same issue under my belly. Hopefully it'll get me an insurance paid tummy tuck and boob lift. I have really bad scarring in both places because of it.
  18. Well let's keep in touch mandyboo! We'll suffer together lol
  19. I use dial as well. Doesn't help
  20. Thanks Stacy
