  1. Still having good days and bad. Still things on the list that I should be able to eat but can't. Still nauseous most mornings. But everything looks great and another 16 lbs gone. I've had a couple of foaming episodes(yuck) but doing well. I ate at a restaurant today for the first time. It was a Breakfast place and I had eggs but it counts. I am very happy with my results I've lost a total of 54lbs since I started this including pre surgery diet(25lbs). If your just starting out hang in there time will pass till your surgery day, if you just had your surgery you'll be okay, it sucks right now but you'll be better. Hang in there y'all.

    what are foaming episodes?
Sometimes something doesn't sit well and you start throwing up but it's just a foamy semi clear mucous grossness. It's pretty foul. I hope you never find out lol

  2. You are absolutely allowed to feel like a horrible mess of a failure for 3.......2.......1...... and STOP.

It's completely normal to have a bad day, in my opinion. The fact that you recognized it and have the desire to fix it is what's key here.

Cookies and brownies may give you a temporary "energy" surge but that will be followed by a sugar crash and next day hunger. Instead, reach for a bottle of Water and go for a quick walk. Fresh air and a cool drink will get your blood moving and clear your head to make better choices.

As for your doctor's goals? Tell him to suck it. You are doing AMAZING. Seventy pounds in 70 months is great. Keep up the great work and don't give up on yourself. You are totally worth more than that.

No more pity parties. Trust me, they won't help and it will only waste a few precious moments towards your new self.

And they say your mean @@LipstickLady lol
    Yup. I'm a real b!tch. ;)

Lmao if you don't want the answer don't ask the question lol just messing with you from another post.

  3. Thanks but like I said I was on a 30 day liquid diet pre op. I have a long way to go. Everybody's different. I don't usually have a high tolerance for pain but I stopped taking pain meds 1st night because they were making me dry heave bad. But I felt like crap from week 2 till 5. Not any incision pain but Migraine type headache, nausea, slept alot. But others are in more pain and bounce back in a week. Just drink your Water and Protein.

  4. I am having a really hard day today. Head hunger and old bad habits have reared their ugly head. I have an almost uncontrollable urge to eat carbs to increase energy (candy, chips, brownies, etc…). I have resisted the urge but it’s hard. Im SO tired and depressed. Im in my 7th month (8th as of the 25th and my next dr follow up) and im “behind schedule”. He wants me to have lost 117 lbs by my 1 year mark and at 7/8 months I’ve only lost 70. It doesn’t help that I haven’t lost anything in over 10 days… in fact ive gained a lb. Most likely due to my period but still depressing. What if i'm done losing and this is it?! I also keep seeing all these people who started out near my weight who have lost 100+ lbs in 4-6 months!!! Its making me feel like a failure and like I got the wrong surgery. Sorry for the negativity, I just really needed to vent to people who would understand. Thanks

Your doing great! Don't worry about what the doctor wants. As long as you're keeping to the program why does it matter when you get there. You didn't put on all that weight in 7 months right? A little slower means your body has time to catch up and less stretch marks and excess skin. Keep a good diary to make sure your staying the course, drink your Water top flush out your stall. Your doing fantastic!

  5. I am only 3 weeks post op and I have had feelings of failure too. I've been wondering what I got myself into with this sleeve surgery because I can't seem to get enough fluids in yet. But I keep reminding myself that I did this because I want to be healthier. I know there are days that we are going to struggle with this but we didn't go through major surgery for nothing. 75lbs lost is great. Try to focus on the positive and don't be sorry for venting we all need to once in a while.

@@Medi619 I am 7 weeks out and felt like crap when I was where you are. You well turn the corner SOON. Just keep your Protein up abd Water going. I promise the last 2 weeks for me have been WAY better

  7. Hi purpleandgold. Where are you? what surgery are you having? What are your plans for the rest of your life? No just kidding but do tell us a bit about yourself.

I'm 7 weeks out and 55lbs down from the start of the journey(25 pre surgery/the rest post) and live in Kentucky.

  8. I had surgery 3/23.. Doing well so far. I have issues with Water consumption & getting enough Protein & timing my Calcium supplements. & I cannot stand the taste of the powder amino acid/protein mix I bought from the office-it's so bitter.. They highly recommended it in addition to Protein shakes. I've got to figure a way to doctor it up so it's palatable? Anyone try them? We are cleared to eat everything-just starting slowly & well chewed.. It's an adventure figuring things out.. I'm not touching steak though til like the week after or next. Remembering to not drink with food takes a conscious effort.. (& seems so strange?) oh and anyone deal with constipation-what are you doing?

    My high was 305

Day of surgery I was 275

    And today I'm 262

The Premier ready made Protein are awesome because they are 30g of protein in 12oz so 2 a day about does it. I couldn't drink any whey protein after surgery and these are thin and go down easy. Abd they don't have to be mixed!

  9. klonopin .5 - I took half last night and I will do half tonight and none tomorrow night, that way Saturday morning if I have anxiety I won't be having to go to work...i'm going to do this. I just don't see why I ended up with anxiety after this surgery. I don't understand. I wake up in the mornings and worry about anything and everything that comes to my mind. It's awful.

I'm no psychology dr but imo you don't have you're old anxiety coping mechanism...food to comfort you when you anxious. Try to find things to calm you or keep you occupied. Especially now, that hopefully most of us have seen the last of the really cold weather.

  10. Well cutting out a meal a day just because you can and not because you're doctor wants you to before surgery can't hurt. If you go to a Vitamin Shoppe or other Vitamin supplement place you can buy individual packs on some of the Protein Shakes too see which ones you like. It can't hurt to get some fat of your liver. My doctor had me on a Liquid Protein diet for 30 days to cleanse and lower the fat in my liver. It also REALLY tests your commitment lol. Your taste buds do change. I used to be a coffee fanatic at least 4 cups a day. Now I can't even drink one. I don't like the taste anymore(I'm actually sad about that.) Don't just do the minimum, push yourself. And yes I think it will help you get off your sleeping meds at least somewhat. I sleep so much better without sugar and yes my old friend coffee in my system and since I was on the verge of sleep apnea is helped there too. I feel better every day. It's been a rough month or so much Ive really turned the corner I think.

  11. Keep up the great work. Don't sweat the small stuff (and it's all small stuff) stressing yourself out will only throw you into the arms of the our demon lover junk food. Lol we are here to help you a and if you really want it you can do it. I had my surgery March 2nd And I am down 55 lbs from the first day I walked in the dr office 8 months ago after jumping hoops and going thru the 2nd worst year of my life. I lost 25 on my own and the rest since my surgery. If I can do it anyone can. I don't wanna die fat sad and miserable. I know your situation isn't ideal but my new motto is you have to but the air mask on you before you can help anyone else. Like they tell you on airplanes where cabin pressure drops. Your no good to anyone dead or incapacitated. If your having a hard time moving kick you feet while sitting. Lift your arms in the air with cans of Beans just to get a little muscle tone. I've got another 130 lbs to go so I'm far from where I want /need to be but I'm not going down without a fight. Good luck and feel free to contact me if you need a pep talk.
