  1. Foaming/ slimeing is when you throw up but nothing but a foamy white substance comes up. Dumping is when you eat something and a while later you get cold sweats and stomach cramps and bad diarrhea. And you literally run to the bathroom until it passes

    OUT OF CONTROL! HELP

Youre the only one who can stop this. Forgive yourself, get back to basics, track every bite you put in your mouth. Drink your water. The act of doing this isn't hard, it's what's in your head that makes it that way.
  3. Still having good days and bad. Still things on the list that I should be able to eat but can't. Still nauseous most mornings. But everything looks great and another 16 lbs gone. I've had a couple of foaming episodes(yuck) but doing well. I ate at a restaurant today for the first time. It was a breakfast place and I had eggs but it counts. I am very happy with my results I've lost a total of 54lbs since I started this including pre surgery diet(25lbs). If your just starting out hang in there time will pass till your surgery day, if you just had your surgery you'll be okay, it sucks right now but you'll be better. Hang in there y'all.

what are foaming episodes?Sometimes something doesn't sit well and you start throwing up but it's just a foamy semi clear mucous grossness. It's pretty foul. I hope you never find out lol

    March 2015 Sleevers

I get it at Kroger near the ensure. It says it contains milk but I also have lactose intolerance. It's really the only one I can keep down since surgery.
  6. I had it the other night when I took Tylenol. I foamed and vomited like crazy.
  7. And they say your mean @@LipstickLady lolYup. I'm a real b!tch. Lmao if you don't want the answer don't ask the question lol just messing with you from another post.

Thanks but like I said I was on a 30 day liquid diet pre op. I have a long way to go. Everybody's different. I don't usually have a high tolerance for pain but I stopped taking pain meds 1st night because they were making me dry heave bad. But I felt like crap from week 2 till 5. Not any incision pain but migraine type headache, nausea, slept alot. But others are in more pain and bounce back in a week. Just drink your water and protein.
  9. Your doing great! Don't worry about what the doctor wants. As long as you're keeping to the program why does it matter when you get there. You didn't put on all that weight in 7 months right? A little slower means your body has time to catch up and less stretch marks and excess skin. Keep a good diary to make sure your staying the course, drink your water top flush out your stall. Your doing fantastic!
  10. @@Medi619 I am 7 weeks out and felt like crap when I was where you are. You well turn the corner SOON. Just keep your protein up abd water going. I promise the last 2 weeks for me have been WAY better

Hi purpleandgold. Where are you? what surgery are you having? What are your plans for the rest of your life? No just kidding but do tell us a bit about yourself. I'm 7 weeks out and 55lbs down from the start of the journey(25 pre surgery/the rest post) and live in Kentucky.

    Look what I can do!

Awesome! I'm gonna dig my sons bike out of the garage and see if I can do it. It's been 30 yrs since I rode a bike that wasn't stationary lol

    March 2015 Sleevers

The Premier ready made protein are awesome because they are 30g of protein in 12oz so 2 a day about does it. I couldn't drink any whey protein after surgery and these are thin and go down easy. Abd they don't have to be mixed!

    March 2015 Sleevers

Yes. Everyone is different. I found if I wasn't getting my protein in I was weak as a kitten. I had my surgery on March 2nd felt great the first week then felt horrible for the next 3 weeks. I still feel rough most mornings

    ANXIETY MEDS

I'm no psychology dr but imo you don't have you're old anxiety coping mechanism...food to comfort you when you anxious. Try to find things to calm you or keep you occupied. Especially now, that hopefully most of us have seen the last of the really cold weather.
  17. Well cutting out a meal a day just because you can and not because you're doctor wants you to before surgery can't hurt. If you go to a vitamin shoppe or other vitamin supplement place you can buy individual packs on some of the protein shakes too see which ones you like. It can't hurt to get some fat of your liver. My doctor had me on a liquid protein diet for 30 days to cleanse and lower the fat in my liver. It also REALLY tests your commitment lol. Your taste buds do change. I used to be a coffee fanatic at least 4 cups a day. Now I can't even drink one. I don't like the taste anymore(I'm actually sad about that.) Don't just do the minimum, push yourself. And yes I think it will help you get off your sleeping meds at least somewhat. I sleep so much better without sugar and yes my old friend coffee in my system and since I was on the verge of sleep apnea is helped there too. I feel better every day. It's been a rough month or so much Ive really turned the corner I think.
  18. Keep up the great work. Don't sweat the small stuff (and it's all small stuff) stressing yourself out will only throw you into the arms of the our demon lover junk food. Lol we are here to help you a and if you really want it you can do it. I had my surgery March 2nd And I am down 55 lbs from the first day I walked in the dr office 8 months ago after jumping hoops and going thru the 2nd worst year of my life. I lost 25 on my own and the rest since my surgery. If I can do it anyone can. I don't wanna die fat sad and miserable. I know your situation isn't ideal but my new motto is you have to but the air mask on you before you can help anyone else. Like they tell you on airplanes where cabin pressure drops. Your no good to anyone dead or incapacitated. If your having a hard time moving kick you feet while sitting. Lift your arms in the air with cans of beans just to get a little muscle tone. I've got another 130 lbs to go so I'm far from where I want /need to be but I'm not going down without a fight. Good luck and feel free to contact me if you need a pep talk.
  19. Glad to help. It really is way cheaper than even the otc and they are specialized for bariatric

    Memorial Day Challenge!

Okay I was 324 at my appt yesterday. I'm gonna try for 299 for memorial day. That would put me at 83lbs down from where I started and (ugh) 100 lbs from my final goal. One step at a time.

Am I going through STARVATION MODE?!

If you can keep them down drink your protein whether your hungry or not if you can't then just keep your fluids up till you can.
  23. Water weight gain, hormonal changes. Really what is 5 lbs when you've come so far? Now if your talking 20 or 30 then that's another issue. I really don't think that weighing yourself every day is good for your psyche anyway(imho)
  24. Quest Nutrition Protein Powder; 2lb. http://gr.pn/1E7cWcM You can also get it on sale at the Vitamin shoppe as well every once in a while.
  25. That might still be open. You'll need your doctor's prescription but it's good to know if it's covered
