Omg I ran out of the house this morning not even thinking about eating. So I'm trying to stay on my 1200 pre op diet. I was doing grocery shopping and realized I hadn't eaten anything. So I grabbed a protein bar. So I on my way home and realized it was doing bad things to my belly. I have been in there at least 5 times. Guess I need to stick too real food.

For those that have krogers nearby...Kashi cereal is on sale for 1.99 when you buy 5. I'm stocked for 2 months!

No don't regret it I had a tough recovery for 2 months I was in and out of the hospital for dehydration because I wasn't able to eat or drink . I'm also lactose intolerant now and I wasn't before. But I'm 7 months out now and I went from 326 to 209 and I have 59 more pounds to go. Stay strong you'll get through this. Get some almond breeze almond milk. I haven't had my surgery but I gave it up about a year ago because it gave me horrendous diarrhea. (Ice cream too:/) almond milk is really good and had good protein too. I thought of it this way, your drinking another species milk, we usually tolerate it but really is it something we should drink? Especially with all the hormones and stuff we put in it. I'm far from a vegetarian but I really don't like milk anymore.

I haven't had my surgery yet but from what I read here it is very normal. Stay the course it will break. It's your body's way of catching up.

It was a Kroger brand one from the health food asile. I can do the fiber one type. These were like the cliff or Luna bars. Thank you I am better.

You summed this answer up like a "professor of sleeve!" Now, I can surely understand and your response made me even more anxious for my VSG date to arrive! It's funny, I'm pre op and was talking to the Nut and told her the only time I ever lost weight was on adkins(30ish carbs a day) and she specifically said no no no you need at least 100 a day. I'll do the diet they give me for a few months after but I felt better on the low carb diet. I gutted I'll have too see if it holds true after my sleeve.

I got a couple of free samples from the NUT at my appointment. The Orange one is pretty tasty. I made it with almond breeze reduced sugar almond milk(I use the unsweetened one before surgery) added a little frozen cherries and fresh rasberries. It was super good.

I had it done about a 2 yrs ago. It really is a rough recovery. It's sucks hope your feeling better now

I have a hard time with vitamins anyway so hopefully they'll be okay

My doctor requires that you use that one and the vitamins for the 2 weeks before and after I'm off the clear liquids

This is my baby Bella and my BooBoo boy punky. These guys have been thru so much with me. They are always less than arms reach away. Bella was a rescue, she was show dog then got burned and her hair never grew back so the owner dropped her off a the groomers and never came back. She is 6 yrs old now Boo Boo was a present from the girls at work for Christmas 14 years ago his birthday is in 4 days. I love them like they are my children.

I'll be okay. I've had enough pumpkin pie and sweets in my life. I'm doing pretty well on staying away from sweets. (I have to be on 3 month diet for the insurance) I do have my coffee creamer but I'm trying to go to the sugar free one.

That's horrible that they left you hanging like that. Ask any questions you need. Im pre op and was kinda pissed they are making me have 3 visits with the NUT, but after reading your post I guess I'll survive... good luck

Why would you not be able to have yams or pumpkin pie? Just have a wee tiny slice of pumpkin pie after thanksgiving dinner and you'll be fine. I'm hoping I'll with be a few days past opp and on a clear diet or I'll be pre op and on Protein shakes only....I could probably put some pumpkin puree in my shakes lol

I'm more scared of dying the way I am. Especially after seeing my blood work up that my surgeons office did. It's time!

How do you get the meters on your signature? I usually only am on thru my android phone. Ive never logged on from a computer but I have scoured from my found and haven't figured out all out yet
