1) I was mistaken for my younger (smaller) sister at a recent family gathering...
2) I was not recognized by some extended family
3) I went to an off-site meeting for work recently, the receptionist at the organization did not recognize me, despite having worked with her a few times last summer for some event scheduling.
4) Getting double-takes from coworkers as they start noticing the difference.
5) I've been posting comparison photos of me when this first started last spring with new photos each month. I get SO MANY comments about the difference... and many, many people have told me how much I am inspiring them because of all of the changes I've succeeded in making in my life.
6) My grandmother has stopped ragging on me about my "weight issue"... but has started in on asking when I'm going to find a nice, young man to settle down with.

I am elated every time when people say that I look 10 years younger!

1) When you no longer need diabetes, cholesterol, or high blood pressure medications.
2) When you realize that you are contributing too much to your FSA becasue you no longer have huge medical bills to pay for.

When you have to make holes in your belt for it to fit

Or...when your coccyx bone hurts from sitting even in the most cushioned chairs.

Haha I thought I was the only one who does that and I feel like I'm being vain but I am just still shocked how I look now!

When your 80 year old mother sees a picture of you on Facebook (yes, she's a facebook user!) and calls to say "you are swimming in those clothes!!!" Guess who's getting gift cards for Christmas?!

When your plate still has a heap of food on it and you can't take another bite.
When your clothing continually falls off your body.
When you had to wear a belt to keep up your dress work slacks that are now too big.
When you can actually walk by Ann Taylor Loft & know that very soon you'll be able to shop there and comfortably wear those clothes!
When you feel more and more of your ribcage when you lie down. Weird feeling.....by the way. Lol

You can ride all the rides at Busch Gardens, Disney, and other amusements parks...especially all the roller coasters!

Your husband says to you with a devilish look "Your breasts and you have been very distracting lately"

Men practically fall over themselves trying to help you with ANYTHING at the office, home depot, grocery store, you name it! Not used to the stares, smiles, and flirting. It used to make me self conscious and I would think people stared because I was chubby. Now, if a cute guy is staring at me, it takes me a second but I realize oh, he thinks I'm pretty!

When you try on pants in your closet that wouldn't go past your hips pre surg, now they fit -a little baggy to boot! Go me!

When you're hungry and eat more food than you originally planned - but now that means an extra 40-5- calories, not 1500!
(And you still lose weight )
When you can do a lunge with hand weights, and not fall over.
When the gym becomes fun in that "hurts so good" sort of way, instead of a drag you dread.
When you stand on a little step ladder without first wondering if it will hold your weight.

When you realize you do not have to buy clothes in the "plus size" stores Officially a size 14! Woop Woop!

* My boobs are now bigger than my belly
* I have more clothes to donate than I have to wear
* On that note, All of your extra money goes to clothes!
* You spend twice as long in the dressing room because you constantly have to swap out clothes for a smaller size...your brain just can't comprehend that you are actually "that size"
* FINALLY wearing normal size boots rather than "Wide Calf"!!
(Can anyone tell I went shopping yesterday? New boots, Size 6 Jeans [please tell me Kohl's jeans run large...I still can't comprehend this one!], new bras and a HUGE pile of clothes to donate!)

old habbits die hard.... was feeling a little low today just not myself so went shopping during lunch... out of habbit, i went to the plus size clothes till i held something up to me and the light went off... so i scooted out of that section and went to larges... still too big... found a few tops size MED scored a pair of Jeans size 8!!! bye bye mush mush mood... and hello size 8!!!!

@mariavg I completely agree! i actually took pictures of the space between me & the belt... SUCH A GREAT feeling... I flew in Nov of 2013 and the seat belt bearly clicked - this time i flew... it was just awesome... no dreaded looks of "oh no she is sitting next to me" it was just nice to not worry about it... i just scooted into my seat... not only was the seat belt roomy... so was my seat! YAY US!!!!

When you no longer dread sitting in a booth at the restaurant!

When u use to pray to squeeze into a 18 but now you're giving away clothes from 22- 16's. Its a good feeling but frustrating also...gave away 4 full boxes and have 1 box to keep. Need a shopping spree...ASAP!!!

You know you are losing weight when your 12 year old son tells you to pull up your pants you are sagging to much for a mom!
and
You know you are losing weight when your 8 year old can get her arms around you and link her own fingers together!

When you lose your underwear! True story! They just fell right off! Haha

When you have to raise the seat in your car because your backside isn't as thick.

When you can take off your jeans without even unbuttoning and unzipping them. Glad I've got a pair in a smaller size!
Sitting down and then crossing your legs comfortably as if you've been doing it for years. Still takes me by surprise when I do it.
Looking down while sitting and being able to see your lap.
Realizing you've been walking around all day and your feet haven't hurt at all (my personal fave)

OMG I just said this to my friend... all my old pants that I am fitting back into are so long... they fit me differently then before. It didn't dawn on me till I read this post!!! HAHAHA just cracking up!!!

When your husband tells u to get ready to move from Maryland to California to give u the new life to match the new body!!!
