    OCTOBER 2014

So I have been silent around a week I guess, being depressed with this stupid stall. Why I thought that being silent or sequestering myself would help I don't know. I guess I am the opposite of those that feel misery loves company. I officially HATE my scale! I knew the stall was coming and was okay for the 1st 4 days but COME ON!!!! Me being desperate enough to have my intestines rearranged should equal more pounds lost on the scale. I feel like a failure, it's depressing and then I decided it is what it is. I tell myself to stay away from the scale, that I'll only weigh myself once weekly. Yeah...right. I think I need to take the scale to my parents house they love 30 minutes away and if I'm desperate enough I can weigh myself at work. Sorry for the forever post, while I'm usually cheery I guess it was time for me to be blah. Hope everyone else fairs better!!! Welcome home Beonxmerci !

@@kimodell69 Every single person is different! You are doing amazing. Do you wear an abdominal binder, if not one will really help. I can understand your frustration; while my surgery itself went well I had sciatic nerve issues that left my leg numb from the time I woke up in recovery until 6 days afterward. Then you'd think great I have feeling but it felt like the raging fires of hell burning down my leg. I saw all of these other wonderful October folks talking about walking 3 miles etc and I just felt like a failure. I wasn't and you're NOT! You are a trooper, your surgery was hardcore! Just know that the only track you need to be in is your own. You are not supposed to be running a marathon yet. Follow your doc's orders and give yourself a chance to heal! You've got this!

I would check w your Dr for sure and you may have to backtrack to liquids for a bit longer. Maybe your pouch just isn't ready. Were they different foods each time? My purée was different, my doc said it had to be able to pour from spoon or suck through a straw. Would def contact Dr and just do liquids for remainder until you hear from them.

@ I started soft foods Thursday so I didn't have to purée it but it has been done or as you say being a soft, flaky dish yes I think your thoughts would work. Be careful with the stuffing as it is usually high fat.

#1 you are NOT a failure to life!! Period. You had this surgery and took upon the risks to make a better life for yourself and your child. You did it to be healthy for your child and be present hopefully longer and to get to see all of his milestones. I am so sorry that this has happen and that you are frustrated and upset, let alone in pain. Know that we are here for you to vent or cry or scream! You will get beyond this challenge and you will be stronger mind body and soul for it. I send you my prayers and well wishes. ✨❤️✨
