Well today's the day for many of us, I'm sure some of you have already had surgery this morning. I'm headed to Evergreen Hospital now! Wishing all of you luck! I'm scared out of my mind!!!!!

Morning sheltermann, CONGRATULATIONS!!! You will be fine and be ready for your journey. My surgery was 7/28/14 and its the best thing I ever did. I'm down 30 lbs and I love it. Just keep sipping and walking, walking is the best advice we all can give u. And most of all be patient and you will be doing great. See you on the sleeve side. Speedy recovery! YOU GOT THIS!!!

such great news to hear on a tuesday (or any other day )
different emotions are common to experience til surgery (and after too)
excitement, nerves, concern, doubt, fear , anticipation - but hopefully mostly happiness
but at the end of the day you made the wise decision to have WLS
don't 2nd guess yourself now!!!
you are on the way to a healthier, happier, longer life

That's great! I wasn't required to lose a certain amount before surgery. I just have to do a liquid diet one week before sugery and then a clear liquid diet 1 day before surgery.

I will be having my surgery on September 29th! I am so excited! Its been a long process to get the approval both from my insurance and from my boss for the time off, but I finally have both and will have surgery in less than 2 weeks!
I finally understand what all the excitement over getting a surgery date is about!

Congrats to you...Just take it easy and do what your doc says....You will not be sorry...This has been the best thing I've ever done....I bet you will feel the same way....Rest up and feel better soon....

Just got sleeved 7:30am. Not that much pain have been walking a lot. Have some gas pain but tolerable . Day 1 post down!
