Gettin' jiggly with it...
This is great! I noticed that I first started getting jiggly while walking into my surgeon's office for my first post-op follow up. Even my mom noticed. You know those stalls everyone complains of? It seems to me that is when I tighten up more. Then I get jiggly again, then I tighten up, etc. I saw my PT for my lymphedema last week. We had put off heavy treatment until I had lost a good amount of weight after surgery. We are starting today. Anyway, she was REALLY happy that my legs are so jiggly. It is a good thing.

Three years today
Congratulations! You are truly an inspiration and an example for how to live life fully. This is what I want. To be able to write something even close to what you have experienced would be a miracle for me. You show that miracles are truly possible. Thank you!

Getting butterflies
It really is hard to describe. I didn't have an appetite after surgery but it is important to get in fluids and Protein so it is a completely different experience post-op from what we are used to pre-op. It is a total paradigm shift.

400+ pounds?
I don't think any surgery "guarantees" a certain amount of loss. You still have to follow your program.

My sleeve dec 28 2015
I liked ProtiDiet liquid beverage concentrates (either in concentrated form over crushed ice or diluted). They gave them to me while I was still in the hospital over crushed ice and I found them really helpful for getting in my Protein. Now, I occasionally add them to my Water bottle. You might also want to try Syntrax Nectars or Isopure. Both are clear protein.

Getting butterflies
It was my first surgery and like you I was fearful about what to expect. Frankly, the surgery was the easiest part of the whole process as far as I am concerned. One minute I was being rolled into a bustling operating room and trying to get reasonably comfortable on the operating table and the next minute I was waking up in recovery. It sounds scary, but barring any major complications it really is a pretty routine surgery from everything I can tell.

We’re approaching post number…4 million!
Awesome! I will admit I looked at job postings while I was there the last time.

400+ pounds?
My high weight was 565 and thanks to the sleeve I am getting ready to dip below 400 pounds for the first time in years!

We’re approaching post number…4 million!
The one and only time I played slot machines I played until I lost my $20 and then quit. I only place $2 bets at the horse races. Something tells me that gambling isn't for me. I'll stick to sweepstakes!

We’re approaching post number…4 million!
I would LOVE to win furniture, especially if I could pick it out. I am going to need a new bed/mattress set soon so that would be an awesome prize. If anyone knows of a drawing for one let me know. Some other biggish prizes I've won are: a rug, a tv, and basketball tickets. I won a box of toys one time that supplied me with birthday and Christmas presents for quite a while. I did win plane tickets but by the time I got them the window to use them was so narrow I never was able to plan a trip. I still had to pay taxes on those which was a bummer. I am pretty selective about what enter to win lately to make sure it's something I really want or could use.

Yes, I paid taxes on it and it was worth every penny.

For the first time in my life...
Congratulations!

We’re approaching post number…4 million!
Yes, I won a trip to Hawaii and it was awesome! My major goal/reward for my weight loss is to go back to Hawaii and take surfing lessons. If I could win a free trip it would be even better!

We’re approaching post number…4 million!
I wonder how many of the 4 million have to do with stalls? My motto is you can't win if you don't enter. The best thing I have ever won was a trip to Hawaii. As I lose weight I am feeling more optimistic about entering sweepstakes for trips. I am itching to travel!

I can't believe I can wear this sort of thing now!

I'm not a troll, I'm just new.
Welcome! You should feel very proud of yourself. We are a fairly good group of people if a little bit nutty. I am sorry you felt like you were treated badly. We do get overprotective at times. If I remember correctly you had some extra premier Protein you were willing to give away. You might want to consider taking it to your surgeon's office or a support group meeting. I hope you stick around. This site is a great source of information, encouragement, and inspiration. It's also pretty entertaining.

Questions
Are you reaching your protein target? I like Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, tuna, turkey, cheese sticks, avocado, etc.

Stall
It takes as long as it takes. Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process. Just follow your program. Get in all of your Protein and Water. Take your Vitamins. Exercise. And, stay off the scale. Embrace the Stall! http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall

Excessive weight regain
What can be wrong? Who knows. Without more information about what you are doing it's impossible to say. My guess is that you aren't following your program and are eating too much. That is generally why we gain weight.

What’s Your Attitude Towards Carbs?
I try to avoid starches and white carbs for the most part. I do occasionally have a bite here and there but its more as a garnish than the main focus of my meal like they would have been pre-op.

New Study Says People with WLS are generally....
Maybe it is related to the adage: what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. The whole process is a huge opportunity for personal growth and development outside of the physical benefits of losing weight. It is stressful but also rewarding.

Thanks for the reminder. For me, learning to keep things in perspective really helps to make life more manageable.

What's the longest period of time you were "stalled" ?
2 days of no change on the scale is not a "stall".
