  1. :) It is very interesting. Of course, I don't actually get to see the pretty pink diamonds though. And sadly, no they don't pay me in samples, hehehe...
  2. I had my lap-band done by Dr Stephen Watson at St John of God's Murdoch, in Dec 07. The PS was done by Bruce Allbrook at Hollywood Private Hospital.

I'm going to take some new pics on the weekend and put them up, so people can see the progress. The scars have faded very well in most places, although there are a couple of spots that are very slow to heal *sigh*. It will get there eventually, I guess...

  3. I just wanted to say Hi Meggie, and welcome to the group. I see you don't post very often, so I haven't seen your name in here before. If you feel like chatting or want to talk about anything band-related, please feel free to write back.

    Cheers from DownUnder!

    Fanny

  4. Thanks Acidic! I feel the same about making contact with fellow Perth people. I've tried to get a support group happening a couple of times but haven't had much response, so I just make do with chatting to other Sandgropers in the forum where I can.

Feel free to ask about anything - I've had a pretty good run of things but have also had a couple of minor complications along the way, so might be able to help out in a few different circumstances.

    Good luck with your journey!

  5. We have the same band doctor too (she's also a Stephen Watson patient) and she has been my inspiration too. It's a wonderful journey to be on, acidic. Such a different feeling of hope, after all the failed diets that I tried. I'm struggling a bit at the moment because I had to get unfilled for the surgery and still haven't quite gotten the fill back up to its correct level, but I'm due for another on 22nd Feb that I'm hoping will solve that problem.

The fills are so easy - takes only a minute and doesn't hurt a bit. The first one might not have a lot of effect restriction-wise, but they accumulate and by the 3rd or 4th, you really start to notice the differences!

    Good luck with everything!

  6. Hehe - my honey took that photo. It was actually quite innocent but doesn't look it, which is probably why he likes it so much (and so do I :D).

  7. Hi Cathy, I've added you to my contacts so you can see the pics.

  8. Hi Christasha, Thank you for thinking of me. I am safe - I live on the other side of the country - but it is a tragic time for all Aussies. It is so hard to watch the news and think of all those poor people trapped and dying in flames... my worst nightmares come true.

  9. Hi Legster! How's it all going?

  10. In a word, YES!! :D

  11. Thank you! It's been a journey but it was all worthwhile in the end...

  12. Wow Beth, I guess somebody got her knickers in a serious knot!! I guess some people are just all arse and no class, eh? *rolls eyes at the red head from texas*

  13. Wow, girl, aren't you just looking HOT!!! Congrats!

  14. You look fabulous!! I can only hope mine works out as well!
