  1. When i have the days that i have no appetite i make sure i keep the protein whey shots in my fridge. But that doesn't happen often.im mostly eating every 2 to 3 hrs..i upped my fats (no ff or lowf) and my meats are grass fed organic and its made a big difference in staying satisfied longer with alot fewer as in no cravings. Im to stay away from breads, pastas, rice, bad carbs till i reach goal. But the bread turning into a ball and getting stuck is all i needed for motivation to not eat it..haha..i also use the stevia water enhancer flavors when i want something other then tea..i started back drinking chike and its really helped as well. The eating smaller all day (not grazing) has obviously worked for me. Still only get less then 3oz per setting

Anyone kept their procedure a secret?

The older i get the more private i become i think maybe its bc I'm not out for others approval, acceptance nor opinions. If i want someones input I'll ask. Its like i was talking to therapist about it ..before this was done its hard enuff emotionally and mentally i didn't want or need to hear others neg input..i don't no if i mentioned this on this tgread or not just thought about it. But to each their own..????
  7. I really hate to ask this and I'm not sure if it was addressed here..you mentioned the sugar addiction? Have you figured out for yourself how your going to deal with this issue? I know it all to well myself ???? i had to kick this issue myself it was part of my weight issue. Just asking bc it'll need to be avoided as much as possible (at least it was part of my protocol) and it also can cause dumping as with any of these..just asking..don't want to start no arguments. I was sleeved 8 months ago..it's been some journey I've had my struggles take day by day but I'd do it again in a heartbeat! Stick to your plan listen to your dr etc..do your part and it will work. You will get out what you put in..sleeve best thing i did! ????

    Undecided

Do you see a endocrinologist? My personal experience the so called diet pop diet coke i was an addict. Lived on it! Im not getting into no debates or statistics or nothing this is my experience..i craved it daily. Me and the hubs. Weight issue? Yes for me. Kept his diabetes crazy. (Again our experience) we stopped cold turkey over 10 yrs ago. "Fear" also held me as prisoner denial of myself and a carb addict. I didn't eat much thru the days yr after yr (so i thought) i also have hashis i had to have complete thyroid workup and get to bottom of my weight increases also. Some was everything i ate the ff foods the lowfat and sf foods i thought was good choices along with the good grains..were all my enemy for me. The band was no option for me it was a tool i would be using as in my mind it would be to easy to go back to eating the way i was accustomed to..that was me..i knew i needed a permanent tool that would motivate me for life. And it has helped me tremendously! Without my sleeve i would just be prolonging the inevitable on my part. I understand the fear of surgery..but its really not bad at least for me i know everyone is different. Its a personal choice. I wish you the best to a healthy life. But also eating habits are also driven by many causes. I had to face mine fix mine and knew when i was ready for lifestyle change. Keep us posted ..do your research..maybe get an appointment and go talk to a surgeon...????
  14. i did what i could tolerate try not beat yourself up. I had to work my way up myself. It took me months to get up to protocol on mine. Just continue doing your best. ????
  15. I don't know of everyone's protocol but my protein shakes counted as my fluid count as well. I also bought the flavour protein packs that added to water was wonderful! They were high in protein and i got both in at once..
  16. Btw..i gained 8 pds in the 2 days i was in hospital..i said tge same thing.."what the heck"! Fluids, drugs , etc..it'll come off!
  17. when that subject comes up i instantly reply now its not up for conversation im nice about it (as much as possible ????) lets talk about something else..i don't bring up # at all..i was asked over and over Sunday and i was screaming in my head and telling myself just smile and i kept saying yea I'm working on it! I've even said when I'm asked lost a 5th grader! Had someone ask me if i had bypass i said no..no bypass! Geeeez..nonstop
  18. Just throwing this out here..i was a carb addict also..that changed. Do i have my weak moments? You bet!! BUT..i told my hubs he'll have to HIDE his junk if wants to eat it. Somewhere i can't find it. The saying out of sight out of mind not so much with me but if its not within reach then the moment of that craving passes but keep your protein easy access! As mentioned above..keep it foremost and its more satisfying and filling! Its hard i know! But our choices will determine our success in most cases..I'm 8 months PO i keep raw pecans, carbmaster yogurt or any organic low sugar yogurt around, cheese sticks, and i do my organic turkey lunchtime and use either cheese stix or i even use cream cheese as a rollup..maybe this will help ya! Definitely get off the junk carbs i can't have the carbs like these for after reaching goal..it will definitely back fire! Hang in there..???? make some adjustments..

    10-15 vitamins a day?

I will try and upload pic of my med bowl that I have been taking for yrs.. I also have over 12 dx's which several have been alleviated. I also have a basket full. now I take daily.. A M..1 thyroid, liquid D3, liquid B12... I eat enough dairy for calcium . I now use a pure form of magnesium oil spray for topical no more swallowing for it. I have been off nexium for almost 3 months now I have had GERD for over 15 or so yrs. I still had GERD the first 4 or so months after the surgery but its stopped. I just pop a rolaids when I feel I need something. P M..I take a Bp med I do not have high bp but I do have VT which causes high PR..so I take it to keep it under 100..works great. so basically I have traded a full bowl and a basket of scripts for a few and I'm loving it! I eat grilled salmon several x a wk so I get my omega's. feeling great diseases are managed alot more you just have to see what works for you as far as pill form or liquids and its easy to do chewables also. Oh I forgot Biotin which is tiny thats easy to swallow for me and folic acid. so I am actually below now..my labs have been on target! best wishes keep us posted!
