  1. In a heartbeat!! It is awesome and I feel so great eating and exercising and doing the right things for my health. The band keeps me focused, where before I would fall off the wagon I don't now because I know I must protect my pouch and my band....!
  2. I woke up at 2:30am with a feeling of something stuck in my Band? No matter how much I swallow the feeling is still there, I have not had this feeling before, there is no pain at all, it just feels like there is something sitting at the back of my throat. I drank a few sips of Water, it went down but very slowly, and I have drank about 3 ounces of pineapple juice? I seem to have some gas those because I have been belching since I woke up. What could this be and should I be worried? I am three months out of surgery with NO fill and have been feeling great. Should I call my surgeon? I am scheduled to see him on Thursday.
  3. Congratulations TXarcher...I am only 6 pounds away and I too will have busted that barrier.....I am waiting for that one to roll around.....LOL As for the BIG GAME that everyone is talking about......I am rooting for the Patriots......I think what they have accomplished is awesome....I love Brady he is not a whiner, and he is not full of himself either....that in itself in the NFL or any professional sport is amazing.....LOL I am not a football fan per say......I do love my BEARS!! But I stopped watching football because it is not the game of ole......I miss the players that played because they loved the game, not because they were making millions and millions of dollars.
  4. I have been able to finally increase my water intake and am now getting about 10 glass of water a day....I am thrilled!

  6. They know because our port is nothing else but a Mediport, which is what they put into patient who are going to be taking chemo for a long period of time. That is why they know.
  7. I do eat out but not nearly as often as I used too. I love cooking way too much and there are such delicious things to eat now. I love cooking for myself and my DH. But when we do venture out, we always share something. I just eat off his plate, or my daughters if I happen to be out with her. It works out really well. I am losing just fine and I still enjoy things I have always enjoyed. I never did drink much at all, so I do not miss that, I do not miss soda at all either. I feel to good and healthy now, to care about the things that I know are bad for me. This is truly my mindset. Now with that being said if I truly want a bite of brownie, or a chip or something I will have one, but just a taste or bite, I do not eat the whole pan or whole bag anymore....LOL
  8. I have my long term goal which is to make my goal weight by my band anniversary. I am on track to do just that. I also set short term goals for myself, which is no less than 10 pounds a month loss....I will be thrilled with this.
  9. It also works for me when when I seem to be stalled as well......I eat about 200 more calories than I normally average and boom weight comes off again. I think it is good to keep your calories varied...and intensify your workouts. Be patient sometimes is takes the body time to catch up as well.
  10. Not only tried one on but bought one too right before surgery, I wanted to do water aerobics and I needed one. Well I am proud to say that my size 22 suit is hanging off my boobs and my butt. I will soon need to replace it.....that is awesome since I ordered it online and only paid $17.95 for it!!
  11. I had this happen the other day with a button up blouse that I have not had on in over 5 years.......it actually fit easily and looked great!! I am amazed when these NSV's happen because when I look at myself I still do not see the changed me.....:frown: I know one day it will be hard not to see her though.......:frown: Congrats on that Shirt and Shortgal good luck on your dress!!
  12. Congratulations.....here is a huge hug coming your way!! I am nearly there and boy I can feel it.....I want it so bad...to be able to say I am down 50 pounds wow, that is huge!! Keep it going you are an inspiration to everyone here!!
  13. I highly suggest you read up on both procedures.....as much as you can before your first appointment. I went to my consult with what I wanted to have done already in place in my head. Of course it will depend on your co-morbidty situation on what surgery would be best for you. However, you must be comfortable with the decision it cannot be made for you, not even by your surgeon. So read and ask lots of questions! Yes I would do it over again in a heartbeat, I was off work for only a week and I am feeling wonderful. Best thing I ever have done for myself.
  14. How many weeks did you go before you were filled? I am 12 weeks out and still no need for a fill losing great and not hungry, so I am curious who else fits into this profile......?
  15. I stay between 800 and 1100 but we were told 1000 to 1200 is where we want to be eventually. I vary my calories each day but stay within those boundries....I vary the calories to keep my meatbolism up. So far it seems to be working great for me.....I am nearly 12 weeks out and have lost 40 pounds!!
  16. Congrats on your success you look wonderful.....I was 287 so we were close in weight.....I have lost 40 pounds since surgery!! Keep it going you are doing great!!
  17. My prayers go out for her and her family......somehow that does not seem enough.....no matter what you say it will not make them feel any better.......the fact she is gone, they will have to learn to live with. Life is certainly precious and unpredictable........I lost one of my friends who had surgery the week before mine she had RNY though and she got C-DIFF and it took her. Sad Indeed!!
  18. I hope that all goes well and you find out you can treat it!!
  19. You need to get Protein, you can do unjury chicken flavor it is broth and has 20grms per serving. You also can do Profect it has 24 I think. You should not be going without protein......NO ONE SHOULD ever tell you to do that!!
  20. I could not be happier with my success to date...40 pounds down and I made my first goal.....I wanted to be down 40 by the time I see my surgeon for my appointment on Feb 7th. My next Goal is 199 by June 1st. I am hoping beyond hope that I can make this one too.....I am working hard to get there. I love my new life and my Best Friend BAND!! He keeps me on the narrow path of healthy eating and I never forget he is there. I want him to stay well and healthy too!! I am thrilled with the weight loss to date!!
  21. I keep Water with me whereever I go. I have it in the bathroom in the bedroom on my nightstand it is in every room of my house and three bottles in the car at all times. I am constantly drinking, this was the only way I found to get the water in, was to drink constantly. I feel better now that I am getting in the water. I also notice a huge difference in my skin and my hair....:wink2:
  22. Jack I just love you...LOL You always bring the point home so eloquently...:wink2:
  23. Are you logging your food anywhere? I find that helpful because it keeps me accountable. I was told before surgery to expect no more than 1 -2 pounds per week. I was happy with that because I figure the slower the better my skin can adjust to the drop. Logging everything you put into your mouth helps you to see just what you are consuming and where you might need help. I eat mostly Protein and vegtables, very few carbs and fats. I have been losing pretty steadily since surgery. I have never had an increase in my weight since surgery. I work out 5-6 days a week and I am intesifying these workouts. I love how I feel when I have been to the club. I am becoming addicted to working out. Make sure you are drinking lots and lots of Water. Protein and water are most important I do believe. Good luck and hope you start seeing the scale moving downward. I have no FILL and I am thrilled with my BAND!!
  24. I use the hot tub at my gym and was not told I could not do hot tubs...:cursing:
  25. I can now do the high impact Water aerobics class for the full 60 minutes.....and it feels great.....!! I can run up two flights of stairs....yes run....LOL I am so amazed at how much energy I have now it is crazy!! I am still noticing the clothes changes each and every day.......I am thrilled will be so happy to get to 215....I have tons of clothes that will fit me in my closet when I get there....I know it is coming...I hope to be 199 by June 1st!! Congrats Nymphs on huge success......We are all so motivated and determined....I am proud to be assocaited with all of you!!
