You are absolutely beautiful! You are such a inspiration!!!!- Is anyone months out from surgery?
I went to my bariatric seminar on tues. It was very informative. The surgeon requires I keep a food & exercise journal. Man & I thought I was getting out of doing it. So I'm back to using myfitnesspal. My PCP, insurance & surgeon all have different requirements. Im glad I know what everyone requires so I can get this ball rolling!- Any Newbies with United Healthcare Choice plus
Sending prayers your way! I know you must be excited.- Any Newbies with United Healthcare Choice plus
Thanks for your reply! I was told the same thing today. I excited to get the ball rolling!!!- "When I finally lose the weight I am excited to...."
Im excited about being able to cross my legs. Also excited about not being the fattiest girls at the gym. And actually looking like I know my way around the gym. Lol- Any Newbies with United Healthcare Choice plus
Soniaj fingers & toes crossed. Praying you get approved. Keep us posted!- Any Newbies with United Healthcare Choice plus
Thanks Laynie for your reply! I called the nurse at united today and ask her. She said that since my appt was only 1 week a part it wouldn't make a difference which weight they used. She said unless I was able to lose 30 lbs in a week, I would be fine regardless of which starting weight they used. This is so stressful. I see lot of post for bcbs. I was hope to start a form for people with united health care to share info & ask questions.- Is anyone months out from surgery?
I saw my PCP yesterday & started my pre op diet. She wants me to follow a strict Paelo diet. She said no calorie counting. Just eat protein, eggs, veggies & fruits. So I won't be using myfitnesspal since no calorie counting. Also checked with nurse at my insurance, they don't require a food log either. I still would to receive/provide support during 6 month diet phase.- Any Newbies with United Healthcare Choice plus
I saw my dr yesterday and started my 6 month dr supervised diet. This is required by my insurance. I have my bariatric seminar on 7/22. Does anyone know which weight insurance uses? Is it the first weigh in with PCP or first weight with Bariatric center?- Is anyone months out from surgery?
I use myfitnesspal. I'm trh160. Feel free to add me!- NEWBIES..... LETS STICK TOGETHER
AmyCB thanks for sharing your experience! Sounds like we all are trying to figure this diet requirement out. Hi AmyLy2n!- NEWBIES..... LETS STICK TOGETHER

Anyone who wants to add me as a friend feel free so! I'm new to this site :-)- NEWBIES..... LETS STICK TOGETHER
Soniaj that crazy they weigh you on differant scales! Hopefully the insurance co takes that into consideration. If we could lose weight long term & not have set backs we wouldn't need surgery!- Is anyone months out from surgery?
I'm just staring my 6 month dr supervised diet. So I'm 7-8 months out from surgery! I would love diet buddies. Let's do this :- )- NEWBIES..... LETS STICK TOGETHER
Hey Crosby, boy do I hope your right. If I could've done the surgery yesterday I would've! Good luck to us all!- NEWBIES..... LETS STICK TOGETHER
Hi Soniaj, I have united healthcare choice plus. My BMI is 40 & 2 health issues (hypertension & pre-diabetes). Did you do the 3 or 6 months diet? I also have to do psych eval. Thank you for responding :-) - Ugh my Mother!
