  1. I'm 10 months out from TT and 4 months out from my TT revision. and I don't have pain when couching or sneezing. But like Josie I swell after working out. My tummy always feels really tight like a girdle also.
  2. Mimi, I too was undecided/undecisive about gettng implants. I wwent back and forth for months. I was like, Uhmm I'm almost 44 and my bras hold em up, I had it worked out with my PS that if I decided that I didn't want them the morning of he would refund me that portion that I had paid, since he was already doing a extended tummy tuck with anchor cut he didn't mind not doing the breast. But I figured I'm a big chicken and wouldn't want to go under again or have the pain again so I did it. I'm so GLAD I had them done, I love my perky breasts:w00t:
  3. The lift was supposed to cost an additional $2000. But I told Dr I had NO more $$$ and to not do the lift. But he went ahead and did the small cresent lift when he put in the implants and did not charge me at all. and when I had my revision done that was also no charge. :blushing:

    Shrinking Violets - Part 5!

Laura, I knwo that there are a handful of ladies on LBT that have revised from band to sleeve all in one surgery, *Susan*, Oregondaisy, elizabethsew?(sp) theres a thread where they tell all about it. I know they all went to Dr Aceves in MX. I wonder why you were quoted for 2 surgeries, if they can do it in one??? maybe thats a precasution if theres a problem when they get inside? dont know,,, anyways good luck, will keep you in my thoughts. Kelly

    tummy tuck cost?

Hey Minidriver, I have lost 10 lbs since the original surgery in Oct 2008, But I must be honest I haven't really done much in the way of exercise since my TT. I was on complete bed rest for 5 weeks after PS becasue of a Large wound seperation. after I was allowed up again I really had no energy, so I would go a short walks. I had my revision in May 2009. I havent gained anything so that's a plus. But I want to drop the last 20 lbs. My band dr wants me to lose 40 more But I dont see that happening. I do know that I had a large pannus and so exerciseing now is soooo much easier, biking and running, even swimming is so different without having to wear 2 pairs of panty girdles. I have a fill scheduled in 2 weeks and hope that helps me to kick into gear and drop the last few pounds. good luck,

    tummy tuck cost?

$17,000 for Extended tummy tuck with an anchor cut, breast lift and breast augmentations with silicone implants. This included OR, anastesiolgiost, Pain pump, 2 nights in a healing center. all follow up visits. I also had a revision and my surgeon charged me nothing for it. I believe when it was broken down the tummy part was abut $10,000. I had it done in Beverly hills, But I had 5 consults and there wasn't very much difference in price from Bakersfield, Lancaster, Los Angelos and Bev hills at all, Maybe $500. so I went with the Dr who I felt most comfortable with even tho he was a little more it was well worth it.
  12. Hi Quenne, My breast have never been bigger then a C cup no matter if I weighed 300 or 150. But afterlosing the weight this time, they became very deflated. The PS's I saw for consults all told me the same thing a lift for me would make my breasts a Large A small B cup with no cleavage. Uhmmmm Not the look I was hoping for. So I opeted for a Cresent lift above the nipple and implants to fill them out. I didn't want bigger breasts just my full C cups back. I choose a high profile under the muscle silicone implant, 525CC and it made me a D cup. they are very natural looking and fit my frame nicely. I would get at least 2-3 consults and hear what they all have to say.

    Dog Ears????

Hi Sue, I had a revision surgery in May to my original tummy tuck/breast augmentation done in Oct, 2008. He did a scar revision of the tummy tuck. (basically another tummy tuck on me) and a small dog ear was taken care of at the top of my anchor cut, right under the breasts. and some scar tissue from the nipples was taken care of. He didn't charge me anything. But I did have to pay the surgry center fee and anasthia (sp) fees. Had it been done in his office there would have been NO charge whatsoever. But because it took over 2.5 we opted for the surgery center.

    Multiple surgeries

I had an extended tummy tuck, with anchor cut also. Small cresent breast lift with implants placed.
  15. My PS was very honest with me, asked me what I was looking for /expected. And then he told me what he could do for me, he didn't make promises of a perfect model tummy. I still have stretch marks that were on the upper part and now have been pulled lower. BUT I have a flat tummy, and a belly button that's not hidden. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

    Am I too old??

If I were to show you my after pix, you would run for the hills and never come back,,,hehehehe I actually had a wound seperation issue, that took 4 months to heal, and was left with a ugly butt like scar from my belly button down to the cooie and over to my right hip, So this [past May 5th I went back in for a revision and he basically did a new tummy tuck from the belly button down on me, and I am happy ro say I have the belly I love now. I am diabetic and from what I have researched and been told by my Drs that necrosis is more likely in diabetics. BUT it was a chance I was willing to take. My upper belly was as big as my lower belly, I carried most of my weight in the mid section. I say go with your heart, do what is going to make you happy. If you decide to go ahead with it, go to at least 3 consultaions and compare notes. I actually went to a Dr in Bev Hills becasue he specializes in weight loss patients, and he was only $1,500 more then a local Dr I really really really liked, But didn't go with him becasue he isnt PS Board certified. when I asked him why not, he told me he was TOO BuSY to go take the test.. Uhmmmm Bye Bye and I walked out his door. He was a nice guy also, really liked him. But the Dr I went with I like him also, great PS. Again go with what makes you feel good..... My hubby, he didn't care one way or the otherif I had PS, Sure he LOVEs my new flat tummy and perky taa taas, But I met him when I was heavy and he loved me then, so this was MY decision and We are both very happy with the results now.

    Am I too old??

Heck no your not too old!!! I was 43 and 44 when I had my PS. I had been overwight a long long time, lose gain lose gain. So I was left with a great big belly, actually top and bottom flabby bellies and no matter how much weight I lose/lost they werent going away. Could I have just lived with it, sure becasue my health has greatly improved and that was the reason for the weight loss, But was I happy, No I hated that hangy skin. and my poor breasts well they were just deflated balloons that I stuffed into a padded bra everyday. So I choose the have PS, and extended TT with Anchor cut, and breat implants with a small cresent lift. Am I happier, YOU bet I am, I have NEVER ever had a flat tummy till now!!! Its so sureal to look down and see my cookie,,,hehehhehe I can't explain it, But it has been worth every penny we paid and will be paying for the next 2 years. I was self pay and it's ok. Sure I would have loved for my insurance company to help out, But when we submitted and were denied, I appealed and denied again. It's ok tho, I look at it this way, The insurance CO. DIDN'T make me get fat, I did it to myself I ruined my skin and if they say no, then I have to accept it, and find my own way to help myself. (Just my own view on this) I would do it again in a heartbeat!!! Anyways, NO your not too old!!! Kelly

    Need some advice...

I ended up with a huge wound seperation that took over 4 months to close, so 2 times a day we had to pack with gauze and cover with pads and tape, I ended up with blisters from all the tape, UNTILL I switched to a paper tape, I found it at target and walgreens, and sav-on. I believe almost any store sells it near the band aids. I also would wear my binder over a long soft t-shirt to keep the itching and aggravation to my skin down. Good luck!!
  24. WOW Congratulations on your amazzing weight loss in just under a year!!! :thumbup:You rock!!!! And as Sue said above, the PS will be the icing on the cake!!!

    Procedure costs.

I had an extended tummy tuck with anchor cut, also silione breast implants, and a small cresent lift. 8 hours of surgery, OR, and anstesthia, 1 night in hospital $17,000. No lipo tho. Just the tummy tuck alone would have been 10,000 with all fees listed above.
