    Back pains unbearable!

I hope you were able to get some type of relief for yur back pain. I too had very bad back pain for almost 4 weeks, I was given muscle relaxers. I was also able to call my PS anytime I needed to, day or night.
  2. I would have to say the Blue Rasberry are the ones I tend to drink the most. and then the Fruit punch one next. I'll be honest they aren't the best tasting thing out there, but the protein level is great for someone needing to get thier protein in after surgery. They were great for me becasue of my wound problem I had and I needed to get in over 125-150 a day to promote healing, and that's hard to do when you have no appetite what so ever. I would drink it like a shot, just slam it down in 2 shots. I also got some myolesan chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Drink mix and 3 scoops has 42 grams of protein also, I woud adjust it in half drink. Then theres the Supreme Protein cCaramel Nut Chocolte bars. They are very low in carbs and sugar 30 grams of protein and they taste pretty dang good. Good size bar and one lasts me all day. I get most of my stuff at DS Nutricion, and Jerry there is wonderful, he takes the time to answer any question you have. But I will be ordering my shots from Discounted bodybuilding from now on as a much better price. My binder and compression garmet I paid for and the binder was put on me in OR, becasue of my wound problem I could not wear the Compression gasrmet and took it back to PS's ofice and got my $100 bucks back. I ordered another binder online and switched them out. Ask you PS tho. I did rent a recliner also and used that when I was downstairs, I couldn't sleep in it tho.

    Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!

Just my 2 cents, but if you have 6 children all under the age of 7 and live at home with your mother, then you don't need to be having any more babies untill the time when you have your own home and can support them all on your own with no assistance.
  5. You can get them at GNC, they are called "New-Whey liquid Protein. They have 42 grams of protein and no sugar. they come in a plastic test tube like container. Or you can order them cheaper from Discounted Bodybuilding, Weightlifting, and Sports Nutrition supplements at Cheap Prices Kelly
  6. I loved my Wedge pillow. And since I was bedridden for almost 5 weeks it became my best friend. :-) Protein shots (42 grams)helped me get my protein in, as I had no appetite for a few weeks.
  7. I agree this surgery kicked my butt!!! so take it easy, your body needs time to recover. Limit your salt to help with swelling, and up your Protein to promote healing. My back pain was worse then the TT pain in my opinion, I wasn't prepared for that either. I had the back pain for 4 weeks. I had to get muscle relaxers for the back pain, when I was able to use tylenol for the TT after a week. Your going to love your new tummy, after having a huge belly for years I am still amazed weveryday that this is really me now. Flat belly Kelly!! hehehehe I was a size 14 because of my big belly, Now I can wear a 10 in most pants. Dresses an 8 or 10. Your going to be so excited. Best of luck to you!!!
  8. Lurking,,,,,, I agree give me peeps also, Yellow ones!!
  9. Yep I agree with you on the nasty taste, and I too shoot them like a "shot" they were great after my tummy tuck too, as I had no appetite what so ever. I buy the blue rasberry ones

YIKES So I have started back to being a better bandster, I am doing a sugar detox this week, and In have a fill scheduled for Thursday. (it's been a year since my last one) I'm ready!!! I wasn't a very good bandster during the holidays and ate wayyyyyy to many goodies and gained 6-7 pounds. Also being on bedrest for 5 weeks after my tummy tuck didn't help either. I finally broke down today and scheduled a fill for next week. It has been a year since my last one, I know my band Dr is going to chew me out for waiting so long. Sigh. it's ok tho I still weight a hellof a lot less then I did a year ago when he last saw me. I have started back to the gym, my wound is almost healed and I will have a revision to fix the scar tissue probably in April sometime, I'nm not looking forward to that. But in the meantime I want to tone my legs back up, they haven't had a good workout since October and boy does it show, :eek:especially now with the tummy gone.

    Silicone or Saline ?

I went with Silicone, and 500cc's. They are partial unders and it put me to a D cup. I have always had bog shoulders so the size actually makes me look more in porpotion now. I am very happy with them. I had a small cresent lift when I had them placed.

    Ask Dr. Schulman...

In the past 2 weeks my wound has seen dramtic improvment and is finally closing in and healing. With that being said I will have to have a small revision becasue of the way this has healed. My question is, in your expert opinion, What are the chances of this happening again, where there is wound compromise, or necrosis??? I have in the past had 2 c-sections and a hysterectomy and never had a problem healing from those???? Thanks

    Shalee's October Overhaul

Just a quick update. Went to Dr on Jan 5th. and my wound is finally healing and showing good progress of closing up. This has all happened in the last 2 weeks. He thinks the wound should be completly closed withen 3 weeks. Then he will do a revision to fix the scar tissue this has caused 2 months after that. So I am keeping my fingers crossed. Everything else is good, I'm back to the gym, slowly but still back.
  18. Just a quick check in on you, how's everything going? Running? I am back to the treadmill at the gym finally.

Thanks Dr Schulman, I will ask him about some of these types of healings when I see him on Monday. I'm 8 weeks out and don't see this healing anytime soon.

    Ask Dr. Schulman...

Dr Schulman, In your expert opinion, what do you do for patients that have experienced Necrosis, cause by blood flow compromise? I am 8 weeks out from Anchor TT took off 8lbs. from day 2 we noticed a issue with part of the incision near the pubic line. Now 8 weeks later I still have a large wound. it has been treated with Wet/dry dressing changes. Then he switched it to Dakins solution instead of saline. Now becasue of nothing happening he has me putting the SSD cream on it to promote blood flow. My wound seems to have just stalled. No worse no better???? Very frustrating to say the least. Here's a pix of it from 12-04-2008. I would say its a little more healed then this pix. Any ballpark idea how long these types of wounds take to heal? also, IS there anything the PS could do to speed the healing up?? Thanks

    Shalee's October Overhaul

Thanks everyone. It was hard to post that before shot, But the only way encourage others is to show the before and afters. Yes Karey the boobs are nice and UP there!!! It's been a long time since they have been up. hehe So far I haven't made it to the gym, I'm hoping to go on Monday. I attached a pix of my wound, this was taken on the 4th of Dec. It doesn't really hurt thank god, every so often I get small sharp needle like staps of pain around it. But overall it looks worse then it feels. It's just very annoying with having to pack with the gauze and Dakins solution. But again seeing the before pix all this is worth it in the end!!! JJsmiles, I know what you mean, I just found a small pin hole opening about 3 inches from my other wound last night. I thought WTH!!!! Hopefully it doesn't get any bigger, 1 big one is all I can handle!!! Arrgghhhhhhh OK thanks again for all the support you have all given me.:tongue_smilie:

    November Nymphs Pictures

Yes I feel so much better and am so much happier!!!:tongue_smilie: You Bandpal look amazing too!!!! Yes for the most part the tummy tis gone!~ For the first time ever I don't have a tummy that sticks out farther then my boobies!!! Thanks Sades!!! I now have something to smile about!!! Scarecrow you look great!! a whole new man!! And I agreee with you Scarecrow, everyone that's losing weight needs to look at before and after pix , becasue that's the one way we opurselves can truly see the weight loss, at least for me. Sure I know I lost weight, But there are times when I still see myself fat, So then I look at side by side pix and THEN I can see the difference and not be so hard on myself and nit pick at what I Still need to lose. Shortgal, Thanks. am feeling 110% better for the most part, I still have days when I am tired and have to take it easy. I am still having some woun d issues where it's not healing and still have to pack it 2 times a day with gauze. (oh how fun that is) For some reason it is not getting better BUT its not getting worse, it's just at a standstill. So he has me on some new meds, and I have have have to get my 125+ MG of Protein in. Some days that's hard . But I am trying. I am trying to stay positive abut all this, I know I have to have a revision when I finally heal becasue of the scar tissue, so that scares me. But we will cross that bridge when we come to it. I get to go back to the gym so that makes me happy, Laying in bed for 5 weeks wasn't good for upper arms and thighs. Tonight is my husbands Christmas party, Noone at his work has seen me since the surgery, So it will be my unveiling!!! WOHOOOOO  Keep up the great job everyone!!! Happy Holidays to each and everyone of you and your families!!!
