    Manatee's turn for plastics

Normally my PS charges for any revisions. But because of the wound issues I had, My Dr I guess feels bad for me and told me no charge. Now because we have both opted to do this in a surgery center instead of his office, I will be paying $827.00 for that.
  3. Jeni, Congratulations on this next step!! your going to be amazed at the difference when the skin in gone. You feel like a new person. I used to run from mirrors and wndows, and now I find myself stopping at staring into them, thinking WOW is this really me?

    Tummy Tuck/Belly Button ?????

My belly button was the one thing that actually healed up fast and with no problems. I would keep an eye on yours.
  5. rodriguezequal , I too looked at your myspace page and pix. You have a beautiful family and your son is a beautiful little boy. I had twins 4 months premature I was 23 weeks along when I delieverd, and they were 1 lb and 2 lbs. it was a very scary time for us. and my small twin was left with mild CP, learning disabilities, eye issues ect. But I wouldn't trade it for the world. They are 23 now, and while she still has her issues she is a beautiful young woman. You and your husband are very lucky to have him. While I believe in abortion, but not as a means for birth control. and I believe it should only be legal up to 12 weeks. Later for for medical reasons, health of mother. We knew that there was problems with my pregnancy and had the option to try and abort one, But we choose not to, Drs wanted us to. But I stayed on bed rest for most of the pregnancy until it became a health issue for me. Again you boy is beautiful!!!

    Shalee's October Overhaul

OK I went to the PS today. My wound has officially closed up completly. But it didn't leave me a tummy pretty to look at. As it took almost 4 months to completly close it stated to heal on the outside first, So I was left with a butt looking scar above my cookie. (Yeah not so pretty) OK so he and I talked about the revision, and he will be doing it for free. He and I both agree that we want it done in a very sterile enviroment, an not his office. So he will be cutting me from the belly button down to my mons and over to the hip bones again. On the right side he will revise the scar all the way around because it too had wound issues and healed all fugly. He will be pulling my skin in from the sides and not down on lower belly, there is a bit of pooch there. ( my scar butt) , He will also be cutting out the scar tissue that formed from my wound seperation. He will cut a little more off the top of the mons to make it smooth and no more scar tissue. We are keeping our fingers crossed that we don't have any issues this time around. There is also 1 small pooch right below my right breast that he called a small dog ear he will fix. He said only 1 drain this time. If it weren't for my prior wound issue we would do this in his office, but better to be safe then sorry. Should take about 1 hour he said. I think we are looking at April for the revision, I will know by friday. OK that's my little update, I will ramp up my workouts and up my protein to get my body ready for this. I want NO problemos this time!!! I will try and edit my pix and get them posted soon so you can see what I am talking about with the butt looking scar. :-D

    Ask Dr. Schulman...

Dr Schulman, I had a Anchor TT on Oct 23, 2008. I had a large wound seperation, skin necrosis. It has just finally healed after almost 4 months. But it didn't heal smoothly and I will need a revision done to correct this. My question is. WHAT are the chances of having the same problem again??? I see my Ps today to talk about this, but was wondering what your opinion was also. I know it is not as extensive at all as the first surgery, but I am still scared to death of this happening again. But I cannot live with what the healed area looks like... Thanks, Kelly
  8. AMEN!!! Congrats TracyKs. I finally got a fill 2 weeks ago aftr a year and moan oh man I had forgotten what restriction felt like. I had to re-learn to chew chew chew!!!
  9. Kat, that's great news. Will continue to keep you all in my prayers. Have a safe drive.

    Manatee's turn for plastics

Congratulations on this round. Glad you like what you see. I am getting a revision in April to my TT, I am looking forward to it on one hand and scared to death on the other. But will be very glad when it's all done and I can look in the mirror and be happy with what I see. Again thanks for sharing with us.

    Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!

I for one care what the medical community says. If it weren't for copatent(sp) Dr's I wouldn't have my twins who were born 4 months premature. I wouldn't be alive either for that matter. Yes there are some bad Dr's out there but I feel that God gave us smart people to become Dr's and that they are here to help us.

    Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!

I always your responces Kat! and your right about these preemies, yours , mine , everyones, being at higher risk for certain diseases for a long time to come. My girls are 23 and one of them still will catch every cold, flu ,ect going around no matter what precautions she takes to prevent them. My 1 pound twin came home at 4 lbs also, when she was 1 yr old she was a whopping 8 lbs. Uhmmmm she was still a preemie Pattygreen, It took her years to try and catch up. and to this day she still is on the small side. she has mild CP and a learning disability. and No I don't/didn't get any disability for her. We do it on our own. I hope and pray that none of those 8 babies has any of these problems because its hard with just one. Again I say this octo mom is selfish and her kids will suffer becasue of it. You can't give enough of yourself alone to 14 kids each day. you just can't.

    Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!

They will be premature for a long time!!! It takes these preemies time to catch up to thier "real" age. I had my twins at 25 weeks along. They were 1 lb 6 oz, and 2 lb 7 oz. The smallest one was in the hospital for almost 5 months, the bigger twin for 4 months. Yes now a days ther is great medical advancment then there was 23 yeasrs ago, But these babies still are paying the price for this mothers selfish actions. It was hard on me and my husband with 2 preemies that had to eat every 2 hours, they aren't like a "normal" newborn they have special needs that are more time consuming, they take longer to eat, ect. I also had a 3 year old when I delievered my girls. and it was hard with just those 3, I cannot even imagine 14 children. I don't know why this woman choose to put her babies and kids thru this. There is no way she can give of herself to these kids like she claims she can. Just the basic needs will not be met by her alone. IMHO!! Daycare costs for a premature or "special needs" baby are way more then standard costs. selfish selfish selfish.

3 Days out of Tummy Tuck!

Congratulations on yout TT!! Your going to love the new you!!! I did my breasts at the same time as TT and really had no pain with them. I think the pain from the Anchor TT kept me from feeling any other pain. I did alot of sleeping the first week also, I wish the Dr would have let me keep the catheter in so I wouldn't have had to get up so many times to pee. I had to get muscle relaxers from Dr for the back pain from being hunched over for so long. Taske it easy and don't try and do too much to fast!!!

    OH Juli's Plastic Surgery

Congratulations Juli on this next step in your journey. I am excited for you. I had almost 9 lbs removed. And it's amazing to see myself without my big ol belly. it sure makes exercising easier. It's like Christmas when the bandages came off. Your going to be amazed!!! I to contempltated waiting till I got to gaol to get my TT. But the circumstances were right for me when I did it. If I had waited I probably would not have been able to get it for a long time. Can't wait to see the rest of your transformation.

    Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!

Some people shouldn’t be allowed to own a pet rock, much less an animal. Of course these same people usually have kids too
  17. Hey Renewed, Glad to hear all is/went well with your revision. I will be having my revision in April sometime. I still have 1 tiny hole that is being stubborn and not wanting to close up. Did you have to have drains with your revision, was it done in the office or did you have to be put under completly?? I finally had a fill 2 weeks ago to help me with my eating, as I wasn't losing anything and was always hungry. Glad your happy with your revisions, I can't wait to have mine so I can be totally happy with my TT

    Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!

This is just so wrong on so many levels. I'm all for IVF. But I also believe that there has to be some type of protocal used. She has 6 kids at home all under the age of 7. She has no husband. How in the heck does she think she can give these 14 kids all the attention they deserve. She can't. I had my twins 4 months premature, they weighed 1.6 and 2.7. and were in the hospital 4 and 5 months. of course this was 23 years ago, my little one had grade 3 brain bleeds and has mild CP because of it. The 6 kids at home are going to feel left out and negleted because when The 8 babies are brought home the babies will get all the attention. I just can't imagine 8 crying babies all wanting to eat at the same time. NO Thank You!!

A new medical issue for me.

I'm sorry to hear of Kendra's passing, she always had an upbeat attitude. My Condolences to her family.
  24. Julie, nice to see you again, I followed your PS threads way back when I first became a member of LBT. Your were and are a great insperation to many on here.
  25. My husband loved me me when I was 250 lbs and had a bizzlion stretch marks. He loved me just as much when I lost 70 lbs and had a big ol jabba the hut flappy belly with a billion stretch marks. He loves me still just as much after my tummy tuck to remove that 9 pound jabba belly, and even with the Anchor TT scar and the scars along my hips, He loves me for me. Your hubby will love you for you.
