  6. Sorry it's taking so long for you. I started in March and surgery is the 14th. It may of been sooner but I was delayed do to finding out I have mild sleep apnea (6.9 day of study) it took sleep Dr about a month to get machine to me. My surgeon on required me to do a week of at home before I could meet her. I still do my cpap and my ahi has lowered.
  7. Hi everyone! I'm Lisa, 35 married mom of 3 from Maine. I have been overweight my entire adult life and have struggled to lose. The weight has been harder to lose since being diagnosed with MS 3 years ago. My right thigh is always numb and makes hard to exercise. My hands are numb too. I will be sleeved on July 14th. The day I went to my pcp to ask for referral in March I weighed 348 as of this morning I am 328.

  11. Hello and welcome to the group! My surgery is the day before yours and I started liquids on Monday, it was the worst day so far. It gets better. Just make sure you get your protein shakes in and water, lots of water.
  12. I won't be much help, sleeve was my second choice. My surgeon said gastric bypass was too dangerous for me post op because of medications for Multiple Sclerosis and it's effects. I have done a lot of research since and. Am very comfortable with it.
  13. Unjury or whey isolate powders
  14. I too got my date the day I was approved, they asked if I had a date preference. I said her earliest date July 14th
  15. I started my pre op on Monday, I can have protein shakes, skim or low fat milk, sugar free jello, pudding, yogurt as long as its light and plain or vanilla, strained soups or broth. Good luck ladies.
  16. I have an app on my phone that reminds me every hour, its called water your body.
  17. I am currently on Avonex injections but will be switching to Gilenya after I lose some weight because I'm on bp med that can't be mixed. I'm also on Tizanidine for my hand spasms and an anxiety med. She talked with their pharmacist and said the meds I need could potentially burn through the newly attached intestines if I had gastric, so she refused for my safety. I'm ok with the sleeve, it's still the tool I need to help lose weight.
