Getting ready to start my pureed food stage. Any good ideas / recipes for me???

It's here!! Surgery day!! Of course I'm awake an hour before my alarm goes off, not surprising... Here we go!!!

Well, I'm on day 3 of my 2 week pre-op liquid diet and I can honestly say that finally today, I don't want to pull someones head off or gnaw on my own arm to survive Seriously though, I'm doing fairly well and not starving. I think I'm starting to adjust and making good progress. How is everyone else doing?

Dec 3rd here, my diet is same as Lisa's, except I can't do the Jello... GROSS!! I hate it with red hot passion hehe, it's a texture thing... I anticipate some challenges when I get to my pureed diet since I don't do weird textures very well Will be very interesting!!

Day 5 of 14 pre-op liquid diet... Well, I'm down 5 pounds, no cheating, and I'm not starving. I am, however, tired and lethargic... I feel like I could sleep all day every day. Anyone else in their pre-op? Do you feel this way?

Today is day 8 and I'm not hungry at all, just nauseous today... Oh God, hope I'm not catching something Maybe it's just my Protein shakes starting to gross me out hehehehe...

No surgery yet I'm scheduled for Dec 3rd.

im on day 5 as well, and also down 5 pounds!! Yay!!

Good luck on your decision It was the hardest and best decision of my life and I'm so excited about it.

I gave up caffeine when I first started my 3-month supervised diet so that I wouldn't have to deal with the headaches late in the game. Thankful that I did that !!! Good luck and can't wait to hear how things are going

Started my liquid diet today for my dec 3rd surgery. Things are going great except that my Keurig died this morning, so no decaf coffee today. Talk about a kick in the butt, ha!! Well, all is good and I will get a new one later this week. Wish me luck!!

I'm strictly on clear liquids and protein shakes so it pretty much blows. I went to kneaders today and asked for chicken noodle soup with just broth. Tasted good, ate it with a shake. 2 days down...

lucky!! I can't have any solid food except Popsicles.

Just strained some progreso chicken orzo soup with lemon and just ate the broth. Very tasty. 2 protein shares, 2 hot teas, and lots of water. So far so good.

Yeah, I'm preparing meals for family as well. Just keep thinking about the end results and we will get through this. Good luck!

I have a ninja and love it. Comes with large blender, small bullet size cups and a food processor and works great. Good luck!

My surgery is finally scheduled! I'm scared, nervous, excited, all rolled up in one. Start my 2 week liquid diet next week. Thanksgiving will be a challenge, but I'm up for it. Food will no longer rule this girl, even holiday food. Those days are over. Wish me luck!!

December 3rd Start my pre-op diet next Monday. Very excited!!!

Does anyone have any tidbits they have learned or want to share about their clear and full liquid diet plans? 2 weeks clear liquid... Lots of Protein shakes (Premier Protein from costco, yummy) Broths, kicking them up with seasoning and spice Water WATER WATER SF Jello - Yuk... Congrats!!! This is very exciting and scary, but I'm so ready for this positive change in my life and am looking forward to it too.

Yay, contrats! I haven't had my pre-op yet. I'm scheduled for the 21st for my pre-op. From what I hear, it's about 2 weeks prior to surgery.
