  2. Where I'm going there is going to be an avalanche of food. I plan to be a carnivore and drink plenty of water. There will be no other way to survive the day. The good thing is once I'm not hungry, being around food does not bother me. For that I'm thankful.
  3. I plan to eat protein and drink water. Like I do every other day. Thanksgiving or any special holiday is just a day. My health, well that's every day for the rest of my life.
  4. Who has lost their appetite? Certainly not me. I get hungey, since about one month out. But it's different, I get hungry, I eat and it's done.
  5. I will remain a slave to the scale. As I lose this weight, that is creeping off of me, it motivates me to see every single pound or ounce that I lose. When I don't lose, yes, it's frustrating, but seeing the same number several weeks in a row motivates me to drink more water. This water issue is something I've struggled with from day one. I simply have not been able to drink the 64 ounces, yet! So I push myself to drink more to see if it will make a difference. When I get to goal I will continue to remain a slave to the scale, because I NEVER EVER WANT TO GO BACK TO THAT 230 POUND WOMAN, ever! As the weigh is coming off I'm finally beginning to take some physical pleasure in the happy, confident woman I see smiling back at me in the mirror.
  6. For me the two weeks of the pre op diet did it. I thought I was going to die and the first 6 to 7 days I was a sad, cranky, mean bit*h. But I made it through. After surgery, nothing. I just completely lost my taste for anything sweet. I cannot stand the sweetmess of the artificial sweetener. I made tons of Jello and Popsicles two days before surgery. All is in my fridge. Cannot eat , too sweet. I drink unflavored Protein powder in fat free milk and love it! Hope you find something that helps you soom.
  7. Thank goodness I also said bye to the sugar monkeys that sat on both my shoulders. Sugar and caffeine, both addictions.....done!
  8. So no restriction from the sleeve?
  9. There are normal weight people with heart disease, HBP, and diabetes. I happen to know quite a few of them.

  12. I have not told ANYONE, and dont plan to. I did tell the person staying with my 16yr old I'm having surgery, did not say what and he didn't ask. I simply don't want the questions and judgemen. This is my journey. If my mom and sistet were a live, they would of been the only people I would've told. They would also be the ones taking care of me. Ad it stands, I will be my own support.
