  1. I do eat well, I eat everything too. I have never thrown up, but I have moaned in pain. But I notice that I can still only tolerate a few bites of carbs, maybe an ounce or two at the most. Rice, potatoes, yucca, that kind of thing. I seem to have less problems with meat and veggies. I am quite concerned because at this rate, I'm only about 10 lbs away from my goal weight, but I'm afraid that I will not be able to maintain that weight and that I will keep on losing. I just can't seem to eat enough! Is this normal? I'm going to see my doctor next week but I am curious to know if others have this same concern.
  2. I have discovered that if you let them thaw out, and then flatten them out with a meat pounder (or slice them down the middle like a bagel,) then pan-toast them until crispy, they work great as a cracker type bread. Tonight I topped a flattened with all the pizza fixings and it worked great as the pizza crust. But very filling.

Water Intake, How do I Eat Soup?

I ended up speaking with my surgeon who told me to just enjoy soup as a regular meal, no need to eat it in a certain order, but to just be aware that I might feel hungrier sooner. So the prize goes to Kindle for her response being most in line with that of my surgeon. Thanks!

Eating At 3 Weeks Out- Question!

I live in Panama and I started trying Ceviche about 3.5 weeks out. I had no problems but it was very citrusy. Now I have found a brand that I like and it is going down great! It's the custom here to eat it with saltine type crackers so I do miss those right now.

Water Intake, How do I Eat Soup?

Well, this is certainly confusing. But I think (until I can speak with my surgeon) that my best bet is what I did. Treat the broth like Water and then wait at least 30 minutes to eat the Protein and veggies. This is just fine at home, because I can reheat 1/2 hour later, but in a restaurant it would be a little weird to eat it this way. Then again, I doubt strongly that I would choose soup in a restaurant anymore. Anyway, I live in a HOT HOT HOT climate and I can live without soup, it's just that I made and froze so much of it before surgery that I want to finish it up, slowly but surely.

Water Intake, How do I Eat Soup?

By the way I am almost 4 weeks out and I live in Panama.
  7. I can't find the answer anywhere. If we are supposed to wait to eat at least 30 minutes after drinking Water and how are we supposed to eat Soup? I literally strained all the chicken and vegetables out of the broth, I ate the broth, then I waited 35 minutes before eating the veggies and chicken. Seriously? Please help.
