  1. Are you waiting and hour after you eat to drink ANYTHING and not drinking during meals? I sometimes forget and that makes it unbearable!
  2. Sleeved on 6/30 and EXTREME fatigue the last 2 days. I take all my B12 and B1 Vitamins but I have a hard time getting in my Multivitamins. I get between 50-60 Proteins daily and less than 10 carbs. Calories are around 600-700. I do have a hard time getting in more than 32 oz of Water though. The eating and then waiting to drink is part of the problem for me on getting enough water in. Has this happened to anyone else? My husband is getting concerned because I literally have no energy to do anything...
  3. Not alone, I lost 2 lbs last week and none so far this week. Decided today I am done with weighing daily!
  4. Thank you all for your words and experience. They make me feel better.
  5. I didn't tell anyone except my husband and my mother about my surgery. They knew about how important it was for me to keep this to myself. I found out yesterday after church that my mother had told her entire "small group" which is about 50 people. I had someone walk up to me after church asking how I am doing after the surgery and how much weight I had lost. I was dumbfounded. I asked her if she told and she said just her small group because she wanted me covered in prayer. I get that, I truly do, but she didn't have to tell them what kind of surgery it was. I am so hurt. It's an awful feeling to know your own mother has betrayed your trust. And if all those people know, everyone might as well know. She took that choice to tell away from me. It was the one thing I thought I had control over. I am so hurt. I don't know what the point of this post is. I guess I just have to get it out. I'm having a really hard time right now.
  6. Does anyone have any books they would recommend for how to deal with the mental part of WLS? I'm not craving food now and have no problem with the physical part of this, but I'm grieving my relationship with food & wine. I would love to find some resources. Anything you recommend that has helped?
  7. I know exactly what you mean. I miss the social aspect of eating. Food was always something we Used to celebrate, relax, show love, etc in my family... I realize now how much this is also in my head and habits more than just physical. Congrats on 26lbs!
  8. I have lost 14 since June 30th and 2 this week. Also sleeved 6/30! Very common to have a stall right now. Scale will jump soon!
  9. How are my June 30th friends doing? I MAY have broken my stall and lost 1lb overnight. I ate 3 saltine crackers yesterday and that was the best thing ever and didn't hurt my tummy at all. Almost anything else I eat, no matter how small seems to make me want to throw up after a few minutes, but I never actually do, just get that nauseas feeling. It is so weird to not really crave food or be hungry. I have moments, of course, but in general, I am so glad I did this!
  10. I have to give myself lovenox shots for a whole month after the surgery... How about you guys? I'm so sick of doing it. They burn now that I am not on any pain meds, lol.
  11. I'm sure you will be a knockout success! I haven't told anyone but my husband, kids, and mother. My husband asked me this past weekend if the reason I have not told is because I am afraid of failing. I told him no, that it is because I can't stand judgey people with opinions about MY journey to a better me. I just don't want to hear it or debate it
  12. How rude! I'm sure she will be in awe of you very soon!
  13. I think I am going to have to ask my husband to hide the scale. This stall is driving me bonkers!!!
  14. I have been reading your blog and you are such an insipriation! Congratulations on your progress. You look AMAZING!
  15. I'll be praying for you! I have a 7 year old daughter myself and she asked lots of questions before and after but now it is no big deal. As soon as you are out of surgery, her anxiety will be better.
  16. How long after surgery did your surgeon suggest you wait before going swimming? I would only go in a chlorinated pool and after my incision sites are at least closed. Did they give you hard and fast rules or timelines? Thanks!
  17. Yes we need a secret group. I would love to be part of that. Only my husband and mother know. On another note, I was sleeved June 30 and am also in a 6 day stall. I've lost 11 pounds since surgery and lost them on the first few days then nothing since! Of course I also haven't had a BM in a week! ???? Took some miralax yesterday and today so hoping that changes soon! Sorry TMI!!
  18. That's a good question! I know they said no fresh water but not sure about pool or ocean!
  19. It is still draining a lot. This morning I have some sharp burning pain at that site. But I guess it could be worse! Hoping it stops before Thursday. We are headed to the beach with some friends who don't know about my surgery and I really don't want to have to tell them!
  20. Really? You aren't serious right? She's talking about soups and liquids...
  21. My surgery was on June 30th and I can drink 8oz of water or protein shake too now now problem. Yesterday I had 5oz of greek yogurt at one sitting (over about 30 mins). I will admit, I was thinking the same thing as you .
  22. Doctor said that it is the hematoma at that site that is draining. It was a huge baseball sized bruise (ugly) for the first week. It's turned black and purple now and shurnk down some... but not a ton. It hurts. I guess all that old blood is draining there from the site (sorry, that's so gross).
